"We can escape on Jinx," Adria said, gesturing to the tiny dragon on her shoulder.

"On?" He questioned curiously

Adria laughed and smiled. "I'll show you outside."

"Alright" He agreed with a smile and followed her outside

As they walked outside, Adria started to untie her tight plait. She didn't know why, but she was doing it.

"Where are we going to go?" He asked, looking around as he followed

"Stables. We'd go to the courtyard, but we'd be seen. No one ever looks at the castle stables during a ball."

(btw they are currently in Ethulian)

(Okay thanks, question just because I think we are on very different timezones but what time is it where you are? You don't have to answer if you don't want to)

"Yeah that makes sense, the courtyards and gardens are usually where couples will go for 'fresh air'"

"Yeah, but that's not what I'm talking about," Adria laughed as they neared the stables. Jinx jumped off her shoulder and ran ahead, behind a corner. A few seconds later, Adria whistled. Jinx came back put from behind the corner, and was a full sized dragon. "That is. Ever riden a dragon before?"

(Imma stalk)

"Woah…I can't say I have" He said looking up at the dragon

"Well, I'll teach you, it's easy. Hop on," Adria said, climbing on so that there was enough room for Jack to sit in front of her.

Jack followed and climbed on "okay…now what?" He asked unsure of what to hold onto

"See that ridge there?" Adria said, leaning over Jack's shoulder to show him. "Place your hand there."

"Okay…" He put his hands where Adria told him to

"You should feel a slight tingling sensation. It will intensify and then you'll feel a sharp pain, but it will only last a few seconds."

"What why??" He asks and feels his hands tingle and winces at the sharp pain

"Damocles says it's because of the bonding with the dragon. He's says that the pain is……I can't remember." She saw the look of confusion pass across Jack's face and added: "Damocles is our dragon tamer."

"Ah okay" He said still kind of confused but kind of understands now "What now?" Jack asked

"What do you think you do now?"

"I mean…fly? I guess?" Jack half answered half asked and then the dragon took flight "Woah!"

Adria giggled and smiled. She found herself wrapping her arms around Jack's waist and leaning her head against his back, though she hadn't the fainest idea why.

Jack smiled as they flew higher into the air, trying to focus on not messing up and just trust the dragon. Not paying mind to Adria hugging onto him and odly comfortable with it.

Adria watched as her kingdom passed beneath her. She spots her most favourite spot in the whole world and tells Jinx to fly down there.

Jack looked around at the ground and kingdome below them, wonder and awe filling his expression. He watched as they lowered down to the ground "That was incredible" He said grinning.

Adria slid off Jinx and looked at the giant willow tree sparkling with a thousand fairy lights - lights placed by fairies - as Jack landed on the ground. She stroked Jinx's snout and they placed their heads - forehead to forehead - together in an unspoken bond.

"This is beautiful" He said looking around at the giant tree, small lights bringing a feeling of warmth and comfort.

Adria giggled as Jinx suddenly shrunk and jumped into her arms.
