Jack laughed lightly at the interaction. "Do you come here often?" He asked curiously
Light and Dark // One-On-One // CLOSED
Adria nodded. "It's the only reminder of my father. That wretched, cockroachy son of a bi-" She stopped short and laughed nervously. "Mother's words." Adria walked up to the tree and jumped on the lowest bough. She then climbed higher and higher until she couldn't be seen by Jack. Even then, she continued to climb.
Jack stopped and thought for a second, he knew there was no king but he didn't know the whole story and decided not to ask. He instead followed in pursuit and began climbing the tree.
Adria ran her hand over the carving in the tree. Two sets of initials inside a heart. DE + MS. Adria knew what DE was. Demara Entel: her mother. But she didn't know what the MS was. She didn't know if she wanted to.
(ok I just made this in General Chat: https://www.notebook.ai/forum/general-chat/notebook-ai-prom
So, Norepinephrinxx, will you do me the honour and be my date to Notebook Prom?)
(Awe sure that sounds really fun!)
Jack climbed up the tree until he caught up with Adria and read the initials on the tree DE + MS? Who are they? he wondered
"They're my parents initials," Adria said, guessing what was on Jacks mind.
"Oh" He answered and thought for a second "DE, Demetria Entel I suppose that makes sense" He laught lightly
"Demara," Adria corrected, laughing slightly.
Jack laughed "Sorry, normally we call her queen of Ethulian. It's kind of crazy us getting along together huh?"
"Yeah. My grandfather used to tell stories of how Trearia wanted to steal our darkness. But he was a bit wrong in the head."
"Oh" he laughed a bit sadly "I find the whole feud a bit pointless to be honest"
"Tell you the truth? I do too."
Jack smiled "Good to hear, considering we are both next in line"
"We should hang out more," Adria said, standing up. She walked along the bough they were on, not watching her footing and instead looking around at the lights.
"I agree, although if my father found out he would probably disown me but Luther usually covers for me when I sneak out" He said getting up and wandering around the branches
Adria looked back at Jack just as she heard a crack. She looked down just in time to see the branch snap and for her to start falling.
Jack shot down and grabbed the branch he was on with one arm and Adrias hand with his other, stopping her from plummeting to the ground. "Are you okay???" He asked voice full of concern as he pulled Adria up to the branch
Adria was breathing heavily but nodded. She looked down at the branch on the ground and saw something glinting next to it. She reached up to feel the top of her head and a look of worry appeared on her face. "Oh, no no no no no."
"Whats wrong??" He asked concern and worry still filling his voice and expression.
"My tiara," Adria said worriedly. "It's my mother's. I can't lose it. It can't be broken."
"The grass is soft it might not be broken, if not we can find a way to fix it" He reassured and began the climb down.
Adria climbed down after him, the look of worry never leaving her face.
Jack got down to the bottom and moved the branch aside, he offered his hand to help Adria down.
Adria reached for his hand but slipped on a branch and instead fell into his arms.
Jack caught Adria and fell onto his back, he laughed lightly "Are you okay?" He asked.
"Yeah," Adria laughed nervously. "The tree doesn't seem to like me too much today."
"I guess not" He answered
Adria suddenly realised their situation. Jack on his back, Adria holding herself above him and her hair falling down around her face. She quickly stood up.
Jack stood up after her and looked over at the tiara laying in the grass a few meters away from them "Your tiara…" He started.
