"The F***?" Nykidia said stepping back. She didn't know that Lyra could do magic.

Lyra cocked her head in confusion as Nykidia stepped away. Her eyes were still glowing lightly, magical energy hovering around her fingers and swam through her head. This was the reason she didn't cast it very often. "What?"
"Sorry. i just got a little startled." She said. usually when people she didn't know had magical abilities brings her to a secluded area they usually want to kill her. But Lyra wasn't doing that. Right?
"Sorry! I totally should've warned you." Lyra pushed the little voice whispering C'mon, just one more spell, just one little song. C'mon, just do it. Sing for your girlfriend. Sing for the world out of her mind. It was difficult, the need to sing was stronger than even her own siren's song. She slipped off her jacket and accessories, ready to hop into the water and traipse down to the junkyard.
"Uuuummmmm Lyra? I can't swim." She told her girlfriend as she looked like she was about to go for a dive.
Lyra laughed, pulling off her shoes with a grin. "That's what the spells for. It lets you breathe water for about 5 hours. And I'll be with you for the whole time."
Nykidia looked really nervous at this. On several occasions had people tried to drown her so needless she was a little nervous.
Lyra took in the nervousness as she stripped off her pants and shirt, leaving herself clad only in her underwear. "How about you just take one small breath of water first, so you can see it's safe. Okay?" She grabbed Nykidia's hand and pulled her towards the water, a crooked smile curved across her face.
Nykidia basically froze. She didn't want to offend Lyra but she wasn't going to let herself tried to be drowned.
(I'm going to bed. Night!)
(Night!)
Lyra stopped when Nykidia all but shut down, wondering why she was being so hesitant. It was only a little water, what was the harm? It wasn't like it could hurt her anyways- she would be able to breathe it perfectly fine because of the enchantment. Some people were hesitant though. Not everyone was used to breathing water. "Can you just stand in the shallows with me then?"
"Uuuuuhhhh. Sure." Nykidia said snapping out of it. Lyra wouldn't do that. Right?
(Sorry I've been gone, this weekend has been PACKED with studying, volunteering, and scraping for state points at a debate tournament. I really haven't been on enough, and I probably won't be here as often as I'd like until finals are over next week. For that, I apologize.)
Lyra smiled, grasping Nykidia's hand and pulling her slowly into the surf. Once the water was up to their knees, she stopped, letting Nykidia know that Lyra wasn't going to force her deeper into the waves. "Can you come a little deeper with me? Nothing bad's going to happen, I promise." She held a hand over her heart in solidarity.
"S-sure." Nykidia said as Lyra let go of her hand. It's fine. It's OK. ItsOKItsOKItsOKItsOKItsOKItsOKItsOKItsOKItsOK.
Oh no. Nykidia seemed far too dangerous to be scared, but she seemed tense. Practically shaking as she went deeper into the water. "It's okay, Babe. I swear you'll be fine."
Babe? "Ok. Yeah! I'll be fine." Nykidia said as she relaxed slightly. She shouldn't be nervous. She'll look weak. She can't do that.
"Yup! Let's walk a little deeper, okay? Or do you think you can try to take a breath now? I swear to the gods that you'll be safe. I don't use magic often, but when I do I use it well." Lyra san even deeper into the ocean, water soaking her waist as waves rolled around her.
"Uuumm breathing?" Nykidia said getting slightly tense. She did not like this. She hated water. Especially when you have tried to be drowned over 6 times.
Lyra noted the renewed tenseness, but she didn't take back her original statement. "Yeah! Just one tiny breath through your nose. But you totally don't need to do it if you don't want to! We can just splash around in the water instead of going to my place if you're too nervous."
'Her place? She's a siren. OMG you idiot. She's a water creature.' she thought. Nykidia took in a breath and dove underwater. Despite all her instincts she breath in.
Lyra cheered, diving under to sit beside her girlfriend. Her hair had come free from their space buns, floating like two aqua blue clouds, anchored only by her highlighter yellow scrunchies. She grinned, revealing her sharp teeth as Nykidia took in the fact that she wasn't going to drown.
She inhaled water but didn't choke like she expected. Lyra was right. She could breath. She looked over at Lyra. She giggled. How was that even possible underwater? She could hear everything.

(Bump?)
(Sorry I've been gone. Life really caught up with me and I started majorly stressing. So much that it was really fucking with me. The worst is over now though, so I should be able to post regularly)
Lyra smiled back, pulling Nykidia into a gleeful kiss. She seemed happy. Half manic, but happy. It was a good look on her. "Told you it'd be okay! I'd never let anything happen to you, promise."
(No no. That's fine. Take care of your self.)
Nykidia was a little surprised by kiss. She had never kissed anyone before. She laughed at how much fun Lyra having. "Thank you!"
(Thanks. I got most of the stuff worked out, so things should be good for now.)
Lyra grinned, grabbing Nykidia's arm to pull her deeper. They could go to the junkyard! This was going to be so awesome! "No problem, Babe! Ready to go deeper? I have a super rad place to show you."
She nodded. She just hoped they didn't go too deep.
Lyra grinned, pulling Nykidia down into the depths of the ocean. It got pretty dark by the time Lyra saw the glimmering hunk of twisted metal and shipwreck remnants rising to meet her. A half destroyed metal ship sat proudly at the forefront of the pile, glimmering in the weak light. "We're here! Welcome to The Junkyard!"
Nykidia looked over the huge pile and her eyes lit up. She had always wanted to be on a ship but this was different. There were probably so many little scraps that she could find. For some reason she loved collecting little useless things.
Lyra delved down until her feet met the deck of the ship with a quiet 'thunk'. a crab scuttled out of sight as she gracefully made her way over to a valve and opened it, revealing a passage to the inside of the ship. "So, how do you like it so far?"
