Nykidia let herself fall until she almost hit the ground before having shadows latch onto the top of a nearby building. She laughed as she pulled her self up. She loving doing this. It almost gave the feeling of flying. She did this over and over until she reached Lyra's house. "Ready?" asked Night. Nykidia and Night could combine and when they did that they shared a body. This gave Nykidia the ability to manipulate shadows and it gave Night a comfortable body. "Ready as I'll ever be." Nykidia said knocking of the door.

Lyra opened the door with a squeal, pulling Nykidia into a tight hug. Time for date night! "How's it going? Do I get a hint about where we're going now?" She flattened out the front of her jacket, remembering that she looked like a monster of neon. Hopefully, Nykidia wouldn't be blinded.
Nykidia smiled. It was good to see Lyra happy. "Fine you can have a little hint." She said teasing.
Lyra clapped her hands, mind swirling in its effort to find out where they were going. "Well don't get hush up now! Tell me!"
"We're going have to wait a bit. I was planning to take you out to eat while we wait. What do you want to have for dinner?" Nykidia said grinning.
"That's not a hint," Lyra pouted. Unless the activity was something you could only do at night! Was it night ziplining? Starwatching? Skinny dipping? Probably not the last one. While Nykidia didn't seem to be on the tamer side of things, she was certainly too stoic for skinny dipping. "And I'm gonna need some fish, so a sushi place would be preferable."
"That's fine with me," she said opening the door for her and bowing. "M'lady."
Lyra giggled, and stepped outside, looking for Nykidia's car. shit. Did Nykidia even have a car? Was the date place within walking business? If it was, things got pretty narrowed down. "You look great, by the way. I love your sweater."
"Oh! Thanks!" She said walking out. "Ready to go?"
"Totally!" Lyra was so ready to leave. "Gonna tell me where we're going now or do I still have to guess?"
"Well do you have any particular sushi place you want to go to?" Nykidia asked slightly embarrassed. "I've never actually eaten sushi before."
"Oh, I do! There's this great place called Kuso Fakku about 10 minutes from here." While Lyra seemed flippant outside, inside she was a little nervous. Sushi wasn't something everyone liked and she didn't want Nykidia to think she was weird or anything.
"Okay than!" she said as she picked Lyra up like a bride and jumping up on to a building. "Please lead the way." She said. "Maybe this is a little to much." Nykidia thought but it was too late to turn back now.
(Hello?)
(Oof, sorry. My wifi just came back on and I've been trying to do some homework while it's still working.)
Lyra squealed but relaxed once she realized where she was and what was going on. "It's that building with the red roof. Right over there!" She pointed at it and then flung her arms around Nykidia's neck with a smile. This was going to rock.
(No no no. That's fine. I just didn't want this to die.)
Nykidia smiled at this. She seemed happy so maybe this was OK. She jumped from roof top to roof top until they got the the red roof. She then slid down it and landed in front of the building.
(Of course. Sorry I keep forgetting to respond. If I'm off for longer then half an hour, just shoot me a reminder message and I'll be right back with an answer or a reason why I have to be off.)
Lyra smiled, pressing a jittery kiss to Nykidia's cheek. She loved feeling like she was flying. That rush she got when gravity kicked in and left her stomach behind could keep her going for hours. "That was awesome! We need to do that again."
(OK!)
Nykidia smirked. "We will. Don't worry. Now food!"
Lyra cheered, wriggling out of Nykidia's arms and pulled her… girlfriend? Were they dating? Well, duh! This was a date, wasn't it? And if you were dating, you were worthy of the title girlfriend At least, that's how Lyra thought it worked. Anyways, she pulled her girlfriend into the restaurant where they were quickly seated. "What do you wanna order?"
"Uuuuuhhh. I don't know? Like I said I've never had sushi before." she said rubbing the back of her neck.
"Umm. New people usually like salmon and tuna, if you wanna try sushi. There's a bunch of other stuff on the menu that isn't sushi. Like teriyaki chicken." She pointed out a few more meals, mentally running down her normal list of sushi. When she was really hungry, she just stopped by the ocean market and bought a whole fish, but she was feeling pretty sedate today.
"Uuuuhh. Tuna sounds good." She said. She wasn't excatly sure how it was going to taste but she was all for it.
"Cool. You should probably order a roll so you get a full meal. Sushi isn't exactly filling." Lyra wondered who would be paying for dinner. When she went out with guys, they usually covered the bill. When she dated girls, it was usually some random eenie-meenie-miny-mo type situation. But she didn't want to order a bunch of stuff and have Nykidia cover a huge bill.
"Oh okay then." Nykidia said. She barley knew what she was about to eat. She was just trusting Lyra's judgment. "I hope it's good." She thought.
"Cool!" Lyra beckoned over a waiter and ordered her food, holding back a bit so she didn't have her meal end up crazy expensive. It was still a pretty large amount of food, but she had to eat.

(Oh! Sorry. Happy Thanksgiving BTW!
(No problem, we all forget sometimes. Happy Thanksgiving.)
Nykidia stared at everything. It all looked so good but she didn't want to eat first because she didn't want to be rude.
Lyra smiled at her over a plate of salmon eggs and fatty tuna, exposing her unusually sharp teeth. She picked up a piece with her chopsticks before wondering why Nykidia wasn't eating. "What's wrong? Does everything look good?"
