Can I rant/get advice about something? It's not super urgent, but still something I want to talk about.

Okay, so I've known my best guy friend since pre-school and have been friends with him since kindergarten. We both recently transferred to a new school. This is the first time I don't see him every day. When I do see him, our interactions are very short because we have to get to our next class. Both of us are very busy with extracurriculars and clubs. I have his phone number and email, but he hardly ever responds to either. That being said, he has an outdated hand-me-down phone that is so old that the battery has died right before he could even check who called. To compensate, I've gone to his events (concerts, among other things), and I invited him to mine. I asked him if he was going to the school play that I'm in. He said yes. We had three shows. He never showed up to any of them.
That's a shame… I'm sure he was busy with something or other, and all that. Turzelle, I'm sorry you have to go through that. Do you think maybe he had a reason?
I can't think of a good reason, other than homework. But we had a 3-day weekend.
I dunno what to say then… I'm so sorry that I couldn't be of more assistance… Forgive me darling…
