I hate the stereotype that authors are socio/psychopaths. And by the way, you cannot be both.
Just because we know about both and can write particularly violent things, doesn't mean that we are violent people who have done terrible things in the world.
Well I know the stereotype is an exaggeration but I've met enough young writers that it seems legit.
