Melatonin never worked for me either, I was on too small of a dosage
One time I took 6 (because I forgot that I had taken three before showering) and it felt the same as taking three
I'm glad I got off of them before it permanently messed with my head, it was more of a psychological "I can't sleep unless I can remember taking the pills and convince myself that they're working" thing as opposed to them actually helping
