Firiko came down on the kid's shoulder and fluffed his feathers cutely.

"It's an enchantment, a way to open portals, without magic." said Rashi, his fingers brushing over the carvings.
"That's…. Insane…." Who would even want to do that?? Why does this even matter to Marceo so much??? She sat herself down in a swivel chair and rolled herself back over to him. "…What does it say?"
"It's not a dialect I'm familiar enough with to translate…." said Rashi, "It's also ancient…. so …I can only understand the gist of it… which is it's purpose."
"…..So….." She motioned him to go on. "….What's the gist?" I can't wait to tell them that there's…. There's a way!!
"it's purpose is to summon powerful magic users, ones who have magic ready for the taking." said Rashi his voice quiet. "Which explains why it didn't bring Skye's younger brothers. Or Firiko's siblings."
"That's awful…." Megan muttered under her breath. Marceo is truly evil… She scowled. "Is there a way to… Like…. Um…. Reverse it?"
"The enchantments say how to extract magic, but that part of the stone is worn away, mostly all it's good for is the summoning."
"Hm…" Megan frowned, a bit disappointed. "Well, there has to be another way, right?…." There has to be…
"Hang on" said Rashi, studying a different part of the stone.
Megan watched him tenatively. Sorry to put on all the pressure – maybe I could help if I could read it… But how was Marceo able to read it? Or even speak it if it was necessary? She sat there, totally puzzled.
(It's probably and even older language in their world for the sake of cohesion.)
Rashi tapped the rock, "Here's the way home" he said triumphantly.
(Lol i don't know…)
Megan shot up from her seat. "Where???" She followed Rashi's finger to the stone. "…What does it say?"
"It's another enchantment, not something I can translate safely," said Rashi, "But it gives our lot a way home"
(The lack of translation is because the writer is lazy and doesn't feel like writing in cryptic poems)

“Then what are we going to do now?” Megan wandered around. “Tell everyone to come here and then we can do the…. the thing….. and you can go home.”
"One problem…." said Rashi, "Skye won't admit it, but his meditations have taken a ton out of him, and we need fire magic to activate, and Skye's the only one who can do that."
“Hm….” Megan grunted. “Is there a way we can get him to recognize it?? Or maybe find another way???” What am I saying? I don’t know how their magic works — I should be keeping my mouth shut, to be honest…
"I'm not sure what you mean Megan.." said Rashi, "But Skye should be good by tomorrow, and then we can open this gate."
“That sounds good. I mean….” She nodded. “I suppose then we should plan for you guy’s departure.” Oh, no….. but…. that means Tobias…. She thought a little bit, but decided not to go too far into that direction.
"I guess," said Rashi, "Wanna head back now?"
“I think we should before they get worried…” Megan walked right out the door and on the rooftop, waiting for Rashi. He’ll be happy that they’re going home safe and sound…. but he’ll also be sad that his friends are leaving for what seems like for good…
Rashi nodded, following her outside. "Ready to fly again?"
“I suppose I am…” She said quietly, writhing her hands together. Oh dear… I’m not sure what he’ll think….
Rashi nodded, scooping her up again, taking a running leap of the roof just as his wings mateirialized for him to fly back to Megan's
Megan braced herself as she was taken back to her house. I still don't know how he's gonna react to that… Hopefully he'll take the blow more softly than I anticipate…
Soon Rashi had landed again, setting Megan down in her backyard.
(So what do we decide on the whole thing with shipping? Do you want to start another rp [preferrably later in march because I is one heccin busy boi right now] or just leave it all be?)
Megan hopped down from Rashi and headed for the door, opening it up. "We're back," She said, heading into the living room. "And we have some good news!" I can just let Rashi explain it…. Because I don't really understand it all that much….

Skye looked up, "And what might that be?" he asked,
Rashi came in, his wings faded away, "I found us a way to get home" he said.
Tobias suddenly perked up. "Wait – really???"
Firiko birb glanced over, letting out a peep after Tobias had said something.

"How?!" said Skye, "We already searched the lair!"
"There was a stone carving on the back wall, it's an enchantment that can be activated with no magic. Marceo used it to try and summon powerful magic users, ones who didn't have other duties, which is why your younger brothers, and Luma, were never here." explained Rashi.
