"Yeah. Sorry, though. I didn't…uhm. Just sorry." He ran a hand through his hair, shaking his head faintly and letting out an embarrassed laugh.

Tohru waved his hand dismissively.
"Seriously, it's fine."
It was nice to be held… it's been so long…
"Anyway, anything interesting happen while I was out yesterday?"
"Oh! Yeah, two of the places I'd messaged got back to me and I have interviews today." Davin replied with a smile.
group
Tohru's eyes lit up.
"Oh, that's great! What kinds of places are they?"
He was quite relieved. After all, he didn't want to be the only one with income if he didn't have to be. It would make things a lot easier this way.
Davin smiled lightly. "Mm, good places. One's a restaurant and the other is a grocery store."
group
"Well, hey," Tohru replied, "Those aren't bad at all. You're bound to get at least one of them, too."
He smiled back.
"Hopefully, yeah." He replied, looking over at Tohru. "It would be nice to have a job."
group
"Yeah, aside from the income, it does at least give you something to do during the day," Tohru replied, "Keeps you occupied."
He looked down a bit. Hopefully their schedules would align alright so they would be home at the same time most days.
"Yeah, that too." He smiled again, running his hands through his hair.
group
"So what time are your interviews today?" Tohru asked, "I was thinking we could maybe go out and get lunch before, if there's time."
"Yeah, we have time to get lunch beforehand." He replied.
group
"Great," Tohru replied, "There's a place near my job that looked good, if you wanted to go there. Of course, if it's not too far from your interview."
He pushed the covers back and stood up, stretching a bit. Tohru ran his fingers through the slight tangles that had formed in his hair overnight.
"Yeah, that should be fine." He replied. "Let's go there, then?"
group
"Great," Tohru replied, "In the meantime, I'll go make us some coffee. I'm wiped out still."
He smiled lightly. "Alright. I'll get dressed, take a quick shower."
group
"Alright, see you in a few," Tohru replied.
He went towards the kitchen and started up the coffee maker, thinking about what had just happened.
Was he happy because Davin had held him, or because someone- anyone at all- had given him some form of physical affection? It was a lot more to sort out than he wanted right now, but in the meantime, he assured himself it was all an accident on Davin's part, and nothing was meant by it.
Davin hummed faintly as he headed into the bathroom and took a shower, scrubbing at his hair and trying not to think about the fact that he had cuddled up to Tohru the way he did.
group
While waiting for the coffee to brew, Tohru changed clothes. A couple of bruises had started to show, but as long as Davin didn't see them, there wouldn't be a problem.
Tohru made his way back to the kitchen and watched the coffee brew, trying to keep his mind occupied.
(skskskksksndhdbdbdbd I can't, the friends lmaoo)
Davin finished up in his shower and then got dressed, coming out to the kitchen.

(They're absolutely killing me lmao)
"Hey, the coffee just finished," Tohru said, taking out a pair of mugs.
He slid one down the counter towards Davin and poured himself a cup.
(saaaaame)
Davin smiled, and poured his own cup of coffee as well, blowing on it to cool it down before taking a sip. "Thanks."
group
"Of course," Tohru replied, "What have you been up to the last couple of days, by the way? While I was out working?"
"Mostly just reading, cleaning. Stuff like that. Nothing exciting." He laughed, shrugging his shoulders.
group
"Fair enough. That's not so different from what I would've done if the tables were turned."
Tohru started sipping at his coffee.
He nodded a little, taking a sip of his own coffee.
group
Tohru leaned back against the counter, still trying to read Davin. But it was hard to know how he felt about waking up like that this morning.
He said he was sorry. It was clearly not on purpose. But just because it wasn't on purpose didn't make it meaningless. At least not to Tohru.
Davin wasn't quite certain how he felt about what had happened, to be honest. It was…strange, to wake up like that with someone he wasn't involved with in any way otehr than platonically, that was for certain. Even if Tohru was attractive, Davin didn't want to try to do anything. He didn't want to alienate Tohru.
group
Tohru went back for a second cup. Drinking, keeping the mug near his mouth was a good excuse for silence.
He sat down at the table and brought out his device. He was pretending to just read, but in reality, he was reading through some more of the bounties nearby.
Davin kept sipping at his coffee, thinking, and not speaking. They were starting to really settle in here, which in some respects was good.
group
After a while, Tohru stopped reading throigj the bounties and started drawing for a bit, trying to get his mind off that dirty work. There was part of him that hated it, yet somehow it was also second nature.
He would wait around until Davin was ready in the meantime.
