"I'll be fine." She said, nodding.
another witchy o/o
(heading to bed kinda early. Goodnight.)
"Then… goodnight. Have a safe walk home!" Tolly kissed Sage one last time before walking her to the door. "I'll see you this Saturday!"
((Night!!))
Sage nodded, pressing a quick kiss to his cheek again before leaving.
Tolly waved until she turned the corner and disappeared. He was definitely going to see her before Saturday
She grinned as she walked, practically skipping.
On Friday, Tolly dropped by the flower shop to ask for a bouquet of roses.
Sage was in the back, taking care of some stock.
Tolly strolled inside with a wide grin. "Sage! I need some romantic flowers!"
She poked her head in, smiling. "You came to your date to get flowers?"
"Hey, don't judge! I don't know any other flower shops." He paused, suddenly a bit bashful. "And I wanted to set the mood. Make it… romantic and shit."
She giggled. "Well, red roses are a classic."
Tolly brightened at the sound of her laugh. "Then I'd like 2 dozen of those. And a bouquet of your favorite flowers too."
She looked down smiling. "My favorite are lilies."
"Funny. Lately, I've started liking sage," Tolly joked, sliding two $20 bills across the counter to pay for the flowers.
"I'd laugh, but Sage is a herb, Tolly."
"They flower!" Tolly insisted. "My sister has a garden. I know what's up with plants."
She chuckled, rolling her eyes and handing over the flowers.
Tolly stuck out his tongue at her and then, before he could think about it too hard, pulled her in for a quick kiss. "So… you excited about our date?"
She nodded. "Of course I am!"
"Great! I'm picking you up here after your shift ends, right?"
"Yep!" She said, nodding.
"Can I help out around the shop while we wait?" he asked, looking over the shelves with interest. "You get off in like 30 minutes so it's not really worth it to leave."
"Oh, could you check on the carnivorous plants for me?" She asked. "I have to finish with some stock in the back."
"Totally!" he replied, hopping across the counter to grab the bucket of meat and some gloves. "You can count on me!"
"Thank you!" She said, heading to the back.
Tolly put on an apron and headed over to the carnivorous plants, carefully feeding each of them.
Sage hummed as she worked, constantly looking at the clock.
When Tolly finished feeding the plants, he realized it was 12:15, 15 minutes after they were supposed to be gone. "Sage! We're late!"
Sage sucrried out, grinning. "I'm ready!"
Tolly took a second to grin at her before he ushered her out the door. "Fey's going to be pissed! We have to hurry!"
