The little girl smiled. "Yep!" She said, before Alex smiled, awkwardly. "Sorry, Lia's a talker." He chuckled.

Lia hugged her. "Do you wanna spend the night?? I wanna play princesses and unicorns!"
"Princesses… and unicorns…?"

She nodded. "Yeah!"
"Princesses and unicorns," she repeated, unsure.

"Um, I don't know how to play princesses and unicorns."

"Oh- I'll teach you!~" She happily grinned.
"I -" She glanced at her hands, which were filled with wildflowers. "I need to take these back to the river first."

"Do you - do you want to come with me?"

Lia nodded, as Alex waited for the girls.
They went to the river. Sadira gathered the flowers into bouquets, pulling rubber bands around their stems to keep them together, and hung them upside-down from the ceiling of her lean-to.
"There," she said, crawling out of her lean-to. "We can play now."

Lia gasped, her eyes sparkling with joy. "Okay!"
"How do we start?"

"Well, you see, I make you look really really pretty and you can be the princess, while I'll be the knight that protects you!" She said, smiling determinedly.
