Melissa smiled when she saw the flower. She took it from Ciel their fingers brushing. “It’s beautiful thank you,” she said.

"Of course," Ciel said, dipping her head slightly with a small smile. She was extremely glad Melissa liked the flower, because that would have been very awkward if she hadn't.
Melissa smiled and put the flowers in her hair. She bit her lips slightly and reluctantly looked away from Ciel.
Ciel smiled at the flower in Melissa's hair. It had looked pretty on the ground, but in Ciel's opinion, it looked even better in Melissa's hair. "That looks nice."
Melissa’s blush deepened slightly. “Thanks,” She said looking around. She picked a flower that looked similar but a different color. She placed it in Ciel’s hair.
"Oh, thank you!" Ciel exclaimed, giving Melissa a bright, thankful smile. She gently ran her fingers over the flower, careful not to brush it out of her hair. "We match now, don't we?"
Melissa smiled and nodded. "I guess we do," She said. She leaned back on her hands.
Ciel nodded slightly. She was enjoying being here instead of at the game. For one, there were a lot fewer people around her. And she actually enjoyed looking around.
Melissa looked around for a second but then she just looked at Ciel. She let her mind drift for a second.
Ciel turned towards Melissa, a soft smile lingering on her lips. She could honestly stay here, just sitting with Melissa. It didn't matter if they were doing anything; Melissa's presence was enough.
Ceil’s smile faltered when her phone rang. She looked at the text. “So I guess its half time,” she mumbled.
"Wow, already?" Ciel raised her eyebrows. "Should we go back, or…?" She didn't want to leave, but if they had to, it was fine with her.
Melissa nodded and sighed. “Yeah I have to Brandon’s expecting me,” she said looking at the grass.
"Shoot. Well, let's head back now, I guess," Ciel said, trying not to sound too disappointed. She didn't want Melissa to feel bad. "I wonder how the game went so far?"
Melissa nodded. “Guess we’ll find out,” she said standing up.
"Yep." Ciel nodded, standing as well. Even though they had to leave this amazing place, she knew it existed now. She could always come back if she wanted to.
“We can come back after if you want,” she said really wanting to come back. She took her hand again.
"Ooh, yeah, that would be great!" Ciel exclaimed, squeezing Melissa's hand gently. "Does anything interesting happen during halftime, or is it even more boring than the actual game?"
“Its really just a break. The cheerleaders sometimes do something but I’m not sure if they have anything planned now,” she said.
"Huh. That is boring." Ciel laughed lightly. "Let's hope the cheerleaders will do something, for my sake. But if they don't, I'm sure I can spend a few minutes doing nothing."
Melissa smiled and nodded. They made it out of the woods. She reluctantly let go of Ciel’s hand once they where close to the field.
Ciel understood why Melissa let go of her hand, but that didn't stop the sudden rush of disappointment. She tried to stop it by listing all the reasons these feelings were stupid, but that didn't really help.
Once they where practically on the bleachers Melissa looked around for Brandon. To her horror and surprise he was talking to some people from the other team. People she recognized.
Ciel followed Melissa's gaze to see Brandon talking to people from the other school. "Do you want me to go sit in the bleachers while you talk to him?" She asked, glancing over at Melissa.
”if you um don’t mind. You can come with if you want to but it’ll be quick and probably boring,” she said. The cheerleaders where giving a performance.
Ciel frowned lightly, considering the options. She didn't want to leave Melissa alone, but she also didn't want to risk Branden getting mad at Melissa if he saw Ciel with her. "I'll chill right here and watch the cheerleaders, then," She said with a smile. If something went sideways– though she doubted anything like that would happen– Ciel would be able to react quickly.
“Ok I’ll be back in a bit,” she said smiling softly before walking away. She walked over to Brandon. He put an arm around her.
"Okay." Ciel's gaze followed Melissa, though she looked away as soon as Brandon put an arm around her. Instead, she watched the cheerleaders. She couldn't help the occasional glance towards the pair, however.
Melissa’s smiled grew fake as she stood there. Pretending to laugh and put her head on Brandon’s shoulder.
Ciel's lip curled into a small grimace and she turned to look back at the cheerleaders. Accepting the fact that Melissa had a boyfriend was not happening, and she didn't like seeing them together.
