“Yeah everything’s fine. Just drank a tiny bit more than I wanted,” she said laughing slightly. “Want to go to my room?”

"Oh, yikes." Ciel glanced at her drink, which was still mostly full. She'd been too distracted by everything to sip on it. "Yeah, sure. Some of these people here are amazing me with their poor decisions. I'd rather not get involved." She laughed, setting her drink on a nearby table.
Melissa nodded and walked to the stairs. She stumbled slightly but other than that appeared fine.
Ciel followed Melissa, her hands flying up just in case Melissa fell over. She was glad she hadn't drunk a lot. That way, if Melissa needed her, she could help her easily.
Melissa smiled at Ciel as she walked upstairs. Once up she took Ciel’s hand.
Ciel grinned when Melissa took her hand, giving it a quick squeeze. "It's nicer around here already! Fewer people, less noise. I like it."
Melissa nodded. “Yeah downstairs is a nightmare,” she said opening the door to her bedroom. Luckily no one was inside.
"It really is." Ciel shook her head slightly. She was glad they were able to get out of the party. If that option hadn't been available, she might have gone insane.
Melissa walked into her room and sat on her bed.
Ciel followed Melissa into her room, pausing for a moment before joining her on the bed. "This is even better." She said softly. Her eyes closed as she took a deep breath. This was wonderful.
Melissa smiled to herself and nodded.
"So… um." Ciel started, suddenly nervous. "Alex talked to me. She was… angry." She trailed off, not sure how to phrase her question. She couldn't just accuse Melissa of lying to everyone.
Melissa looked down at her lap. “Yeah she’s mad at me,” she said playing with a loose thread on her blanket.
"Why?" Ciel blurted out, biting her lip as soon as the word was said. "She also said something about you lying, but that's fine. You're allowed to have secrets." She stumbled over the words as they came out and stared at the floor when she'd finished talking.
Melissa pauses. “I Umm we used to date but we broke up almost 2 years ago but we where still friends after. She’s mad because I didn’t tell her before I left. I didn’t really tell anyone and apparently they where all worried,” she said. “I… I can’t really tell you my secret right now.”
Ciel listened to Melissa talk, nodding a bit when she'd finished. "Oh, right. That's okay. And that makes sense." She smiled reassuringly at Melissa, not sure what else to say. She was still curious about the secret, but Melissa would tell her when she was ready.
Melissa nodded. “Thank you,” She said looking up and smiling at her.
"Of course." Ciel gave her a warm smile. "So… do you want to do anything?" She leaned back slightly and looked over at Melissa.
Melissa shrugged. “I don’t know. We can watch a movie or something,” she said.
"That might be nice and relaxing." Ciel nodded. "If you want to, I'd totally be up for it." It had been a long day, and it would be nice to just chill out.
Cat nodded and grabbed a remote. There was a medium sized tv mounted to the wall. “Sure what do you want to watch?”
"Uh… I don't know. Why don't we don't watch your favorite movie?" Ciel suggested, smiling at Melissa. She really didn't care what they watched and thought that it would be cool to watch something Melissa liked.
Melissa shrugged and turned on the tv. “I don’t really have a favorite do you?” She asked.
"Um… Do you like Marvel movies?" Ciel asked, frowning lightly. If Melissa did, she had a light-hearted movie to watch. If not, she'd have to figure out another idea.
“I like marvel! I haven’t watched a lot of the movies though,” she said.
"Have you seen Thor: Ragnarok? If you haven't, we should totally watch it. It's hilarious." Ciel paused. "It is the third in a series, though, so if you don't want to, that's fine."
Melissa smiled. “I haven’t seen it yet but it looks good! We should watch it,” she said. Sitting on her bed. Leaning on the head board.
"Awesome!" Ciel clapped her hands together. "I apologize in advance for any high-pitched noises or giddy laughter." She gave Melissa a smile. "It's just too good sometimes."
Melissa laughed slightly. “It’s ok that just means the movie really is good.”
"Ah, good," Ciel sighed in relief. "I just wanted you to know so I didn't surprise you or something." She leaned back and got comfortable. She probably wouldn't stay that way for very long, though.
