He sat up slowly

Bridget sat down and read through it. When she was finished, she looked over at him. "It's very good," she told him, her mind still savoring the events.

"It was with your help"

“Wait, how?”

"Yesterday," he stated. "You said you'd help me. which you did"

“Oh.” She could barely remember what happened yesterday.

He coughed a little but not badly "I hate when this happens"

She put her hand on his shoulder. “It’s okay.”

"…If you say so"

She smiled. “Just promise me that next time, you’ll tell me?”

"promise…"

“Thank you,” she said. Her eyes glanced at her computer.

"Might wanna answer those"

She opened her mouth, then closed it and shook her head. “I really should.”

He laughs "I'll be fine"

She sighed. The subject of the first email was enough to make her facial features deflate.

Joseph grabbed his computer and opened it when he opened his email he got one from his editor "Shit…"

“What is it?” she asked, peeking at his screen.

"My editor is coming later today…"

“Oh no… Do you need me to do anything?”

"I'm not sure…She doesn't know about what happened either"

“I can stay,” Bridget quickly suggested.

“Do you need me to?”

"Most likely"

“Then I will,” she said simply.

"Ok…Anyways…She's gonna be here in an hour or so"

“Is there anything that you need me to do?”

"we need food… so we aren't hungry later"

She nodded and stood up to walk to the kitchen. She left her laptop open on her seat.
