Brainwashed (O/O) Closed

He came running… like always. "Hey Kate!", he called, a little louder than intended.

She jumped and put her phone back in her pocket. “What?!”

"Just say'n hi!", he told her. "How was your day?"

"It was great," she replied. "You sounded urgent, is something wrong?"

"No. Just glad to see you.", he said, which was mostly true.

"You suuuuuuuuuuuure?" she asked him lightly, tapping his nose.

"Yeah." He shrank against her finger on his nose and tapped her nose in return.

She giggled. "Copycat. We should get going."

August lead the way. "I'm not a copycat, you're just mad that I booped your nose."

"No, I'm not. Maybe I like it when you boop my nose," she pointed out.

He tapped her nose. "Boop!" He laughed more than necessary.

"Hey!" she swatted at his hand.

"You said you like it when I boop your nose!", he said defensively.

"I said maybe," she retorted, but she really hoped that he would do it again.

"Fine! I won't boop your nose! Instead I'll kiss you." He kissed her on the check. "Satisfied?"

"You missed," she said, quoting Elf cause she felt like it.

"Huh? No I didn't.", August said, confused.

"Yes, you did. You missed," she chirped innocently.

He kissed her on the lips. "Not this time!"

She smiled. "Better!"

"Better? What would be best then?"

She grinned. "You have to figure that out yourself!"

"What?!" His reaction was funny.

Kate laughed. "You're funny," she said, booping his nose. "I love you."

"You missed.", he said pulling her in closer.

"Mhmm…" she hummed, kissing him softly.

He kissed her back and wrapped his arms around her protectively.

She smiled and stopped walking so she could lean on him and deepen the kiss.

People were glaring at them, but August didn't care. All he cared about was her.

Kate broke the kiss as a boy walking by rammed into her bookbag and sent her staggering backwards a few steps.
