Met heard the door open with a yelp, collapsing onto the floor in a tangle of pale legs and arms. He rummaged around in his nightstand, pointing a small pistol at the intruder.
"Wh-no! No, you can't just let yourself into someone's house." He shifted his grip on the gun. "What 'other guy'?"
cats, dogs, and rats//one on one (closed)
Kadachi immediately put his hands up when he saw the gun, which looked kinda ridiculous considering he was holding a bag of cookies in one. "That uh–I don't know his name, some neighbor who said I might find Neo in here?"
Met shook his head, flopping his long hair over his shoulders and over. "No! Neo's my twin, he left ages ago." He shifted his hips under his tensed body, frowning heavily again. "What kind of cookies are those?" He suddenly asked.
"Um…I made two different kinds, chocolate chip and macademia nut. I brought some since I made a lot, I figured I could share them with my friend's new roommate," Kadachi answered, still keeping his eyes averted from Met
"Well, he's not here." He set the gun down and stretched for the towel, swinging it over his hips before rising, looking indigant as little droplets of water dripped off of the ends of his hair.
"He lives at a University. My home's just close-by."
"Oh…Okay. Sorry, Erro said he was here. Can…Can I offer you some cookies to make up for walking in on you?" Kadachi asked hopefully, staring at a spot on the wall as he prayed to the gods that this would work
Met studied the other man and huffed softly. "Yes. Go down into my kitchen and wait for me there." He turned to a dresser and opened it with a hand, moving around clothes.
Kadachi just nodded, feeling weird at how oddly commanding Met sounded. He walked off, going down to the kitchen and leaning against the counter once he got there
Met towel dried his hair before putting on a neat, crisp gray shirt with a pair of jeans. He looped on a belt and threw on a sweater before following the other downstairs, still stuffing his curly, somewhat dry hair into the hood of his sweater.
"Cookie." He stuck out a hand.
"Which one?" Kadachi asked, reaching into the grocery bag he had stuffed the cookies in, pulling ziplock bags of each type out and setting them on the counter
"The chocolate chip," Met said as he moved forward, sniffing at the cookies. He took one of both, sniffing at them before taking a bite of the chocolate chip. He turned and squinted at Kadachi suspiciously.
"Good cookies." Almost too good…
Kadachi smiled a little at that, still a tad nervous around Met. "Thank you. I like to bake a lot in my spare time. My grandmother loved teaching me recipes."
Met turned his back dramatically as he shoved the rest of the cookie into his mouth with a grunt.
"That's nice. Would you like some wine?" He offered through a mouthful, holding up a bottle marked with an obscure language.
Kadachi gave the bottle a big-eyed look, quite obviously wanting some. But he cleared his throat, looking off to the side. "No, no, I wouldn't want to impose," he answered, a hand reaching up to twirl a bead earring between his fingers
"It's Myu'iorios," Met purred softly, waving the bottle. Myu'ior was Mind Reader in his and Neo's language.
Kadachi worried his lower lip between his teeth in thought, but eventually conceded. "I'd like a little, if that's alright," he eventually said. If what Erro said was true about them being mind readers, his earrings were enchanted to keep his thoughts from being read, or from him being poisoned, so he should be alright
Met took out a wine glass for the other as he nibbled on the second cookie, humming as he poured and recorked it with a hand. He picked it up between his delicate pale fingers and took it over, handing it to Kadachi.
"There you are… well, I don't know your name, and it'd be rude to call you intruder."
Kadachi thanked him, taking the glass and taking a sip before speaking. "Kadachi. Kadachi Fenrir. And I suppose I never got your name either," he said with a small chuckle
The bright blue drink was floaty and rather fruity on the tongue. It felt like a feather as Kadachi swallowed. Met took a third and fourth cookie from the chocolate chip bag.
"Mm. I'm just Met." He turned and refilled his glass, which was still on the table.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Met," Kadachi said, smiling as he took another sip of the wine. It was definitely…different, but he had strange drinks in his home town, so it wasn't overly peculiar
Met hummed softly and set the drink back into a cabinet full of other drinks with other colors and symbols.
"It was nice to meet you and your cookies. I'd take them all if I could," Met said, half-joking.
"Well, seeing as how I accidentally broke into your home and don't know where your brother is, you may as well take the whole bag," Kadachi said, a warm, heart-melting smile on his face as he pushed the bag of chocolate chip cookies towards Met
"Well, I'll be glad to take them," Met said graciously, scooting over and taking the bag. "Thanks for breaking in and helping me gain weight." Which was obviously needed on Met's side.
Kadachi chuckled at that, the noise borderline an adorable giggle. The boy seemed just as sweet as his pastries, from his chocolate-colored hair to the soft, oversized sweater he wore. "Of course. I'd be happy to provide more if you like," he said sweetly
"Oh yes," Met said with a muffled cough, his back still turned on Kadachi as he attempted to shove multiple cookies into his mouth. The coughing had spawned from the tiny giggle, which was probably the cutest thing he heard all day.
Kadachi only giggled again at Met’s coughing. “Do you need something to drink?” he asked, holding his glass out partially towards the other
Met shook his head and grabbed up his own wine, which shimmered that silvery gold as he swished it before taking a sip.
"Ah-I'm okay, thank you."
"Alright, suit yourself," Kadachi said, still smiling before taking a sip of his own drink. He took a moment to glance around, free hand playing with his earring again
Met rubbed crumbs from his cookie decimation before turning around again.
"Thanks. I think I'll keep the cookies." A slight, scant grin was on his deeply lined face.
"Again, help yourself. You can take some of the macadamia nut ones too, if you want," Kadachi offered, gesturing towards the other ziplock bag
