"I'm… I'm sure I'm fine…" Lloyd grimaced and gritted his teeth as he kept holding his stomach.

Anton stood. "Lloyd, are you sure?"
Lloyd tried to insist he was fine again, but he started coughing and couldn't stop. Soon, he was coughing up blood and his eyes were stinging with pained tears.
Anton's eyes went wide. "I'll get the doctor." he said, dashing out.
Lloyd curled up into a tight ball, unable to stop coughing. He was shaking violently and his wings were quivering as he shielded himself with them.
Anton came back with the doctors.
Eventually, they managed to get Lloyd to calm down and stop coughing. Lloyd's breathing was still ragged and labored, which meant they couldn't switch out his oxygen mask with one that didn't have a pool of blood inside.
Anton waited anxiously, biting his lip.
Lloyd didn't seem to be totally there at this point. His gaze was distant and he generally just seemed weak and in pain. One of the doctors added more pain meds to Lloyd's IV.
Anton waited, standing to the side.
Eventually, Lloyd was stable and the doctors stepped back to give him some space to breathe. Lloyd had closed his eyes by now, still breathing heavily, and Nathaniel was clinging tightly to him to try and comfort them both.
Anton closed his eyes for a moment, waiting.
Once Lloyd was breathing more easily, they gave him a new oxygen mask that wasn't stained with his blood. He was still breathing heavily and somewhat harshly, but he seemed to have improved.
Anton fidgeted a little as he waited.
Once Lloyd was more stable, the doctors stepped back again. Most of them left, but a couple stuck around just in case.
Anton tapped his fingers anxiously.
Lloyd glanced up at Anton when he was a little more present. He was still very pale and trembling slightly, but he was breathing a little better.
Anton looked at him. "Are you…alright?"
"I think so…" Lloyd replied. His voice was hoarse and weak and he coughed once more when he spoke.
Anton nodded a little bit.
Lloyd shivered and closed his eyes, pulling Nathaniel a bit closer.
Anton let out a breath.
Lloyd stayed quiet. It didn't seem like he was going to try and talk again for a while.
He ran his hands through his hair.

Anton looked over at Nathaniel. "So you're the younger brother."
Nathaniel looked up at Anton and nodded. "Yeah… what about it?"
Anton shrugged a little. "I don't know."
