"I know," Gabe said gently. He kissed Alex's head, holding him closer. "And you have every right to be. I'm right here with you, and I'm going to make sure you get out of this okay."

Alex leaned into him, sniffling and trying not to cry.

"I've got you…" Gabe kissed Alex's head gently. "Can you be strong for me?" He asked quietly. He hated doing that to Alex, hated asking him to push down his feelings.
Alex looked up at him. "I…I don't…I don't know…"

Gabe gently cupped the back of Alex's head.
"Okay then…" he kissed Alex lightly again.
Alex kissed him back.

Gabe held Alex close, pulling away from the kiss a bit. He looked around one last time, then sighed.
"You have everything you want to bring..?"
Alex nodded a little. "Is there anything else I should grab?"

"You have everything you need, and…" Gabe trailed off a moment. "Anything I would… want to bring might be too much."
Alex frowned faintly. "As long as it isn't too heavy, I can carry it."

Gabe shook his head a bit.
"I… don't think it would be easy to carry the gramophone," he mumbled quietly.
Alex bit his lip, thinking.

Gabe sighed.
"It's okay, really." It wasn't, but he didn't want to bother Alex.
He looked over at the gramaphone, trying to figure out if he could carry it.

It was a smaller one, not very fancy. The biggest problem would be the horn. It wouldn't fit in the bag, but everything else could.
Alex frowned a little, examining it.

The horn detached from the base, but it might be a challenge to find a way to carry it without holding it in Alex's hands.
Alex bit his lip, and wondered if Gabe could carry it…

Gabe glanced at Alex.
"Are you okay..?"
Alex looked at him. "I…"

"Yes? Is there something I could do to help?" Gabe looked at Alex with a touch of concern.
"I don't know." he said slowly.

Gabe sighed a bit.
"You don't have to bring the gramophone, really, especially if you can't carry it."
"I can carry it, just…not the horn."

Gabe nodded slightly.
He bit his lip faintly.

"Is there anything I could suggest to help? Maybe tying it to the bag?"
He bit his lip faintly.

Alex swallowed faintly. "Uhm ..could you carry the horn?"
