Gabe leaned his head gently on Alex's shoulder, rubbing had a bit.

Gabe continued to rub Alex's hand, letting out a soft sigh. Soon, the city had disappeared, and Gabe's life was truly gone.

Alex was left alone for some time, but the train pulled into another station soon enough. A woman made her way in, sitting next to Alex quietly. Gabe gasped, the woman passing right through him.
"It's a bit chilly in here," the woman commented, rubbing her arms.
Alex sat up, blinking at her in confusion. "I…I guess so…" He said slowly, unsure what she wanted from him.

Gabe got up quickly, shifting to Alex's lap.
The woman let out a breath, looking Alex over once.
"My name is Elizabeth. What is yours?"
"Alexander." He said slowly, adjusting his sleeves and biting his lip faintly.

Elizabeth nodded a bit. She folded her hands in her lap, sitting up straight and proper.
"So, where are you going?" She tilted her head slightly. Gabe put his arms around Alex's neck, looking at the woman a moment.
"Ah…Oregon." he said softly, trying not to stammer, his hands fidgeting in his lap. "And, uhm…you?"

"California. My family moved without me, and I'm going to catch up to them." Gabe looked this woman up and down, and the woman seemed to be doing the same to Alex.
Alex nodded faintly. "Oh. I see. Uhm…good luck." he said, biting his lip for a moment.

The woman's eyes lingered over Alex a moment more, then she looked away. Gabe scowled just slightly. He didn't like how she had examined Alex, like an object.
Alex shifted in his seat, wishing desperately for this woman to go away, but knowing it would be rude to say so.

"Be careful," Gabe warned gently. "I don't trust this woman…" The woman's eyes never left Alex.
Alex didn't respond to Gabe, not knowing how to. He bit his lip a little.
