Alex bit his lip, looking away. "It's not like her opinion is abnormal."

group

"That doesn't mean it's right." Gabe held onto Alex's hand gently. Normally by now, he would have let do. "Let's go home, Alex."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex shrugged slightly, but followed along with Gabe quietly. He wondered why Gabe hadn't let go yet, but was too shy to ask.

group

Gabe actually held onto Alex's hand all the way home, sticking close to him. He looked at Alex every so often, giving him little gentle looks. When they got back to the apartment, he turned fully to Alex.
"Is he here?" He asked gently, referring to the ghost.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex looked around, biting his lip a little bit. "I, uhm, I don't know." He replied slowly. "I-I think so."

group

"Alright then. Do you want me to spread some salt to get him to leave?" Gabe carefully looked at Alex, wanting to help.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex took a deep breath and nodded a little bit. "Yes please." he replied softly, looking over at Gabe.

group

Gabe nodded, hesitantly letting go of Alex's hand to head into the apartment. He grabbed some salt, spreading a thin coating across the floor.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex stayed where he was, watching Gabe quietly. He closed his eyes for a moment, letting out a faint breath.

group

Eventually, Gabe made his way out of the apartment.
"It's done," he said softly. "Has it helped?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex thought for a moment, listening for the ghost and unsure what to do. "I…I think so…"

group

"Do you want to try to go inside?" Gabe asked. He took Alex's hand again.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex nodded a little. "Sure." he replied softly.

group

Gabe led Alex inside, ready to bring him back out if the salt hadn't worked. Thankfully, the ghost was no where to be seen, or even felt.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex didn't see or feel the ghost anywhere, and relaxed a little bit when he didn't see or feel it.

group

Gabe watched Alex, refacing when he did.
"How are things?" He asked gently.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Good. Thank you." he said softly, looking up at Gabe.

group

Gabe smiled.
"That's good! Now, I'm going to make us some dinner."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex nodded. "Thank you, Gabe." he said, offering up a tiny smile.

group

"You're welcome," Gabe said, returning the smile readily. He turned to the stove, humming happily as he cooked. "I'm glad you can finally stay here without fear of any ghosts."

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex nodded again, sitting down and curling up on himself a little bit. "Me too."

group

Gabe glaced at Alex, gaze gentle. He finished with the quick meal, bringing it over for Alex.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex took his plate with a small, grateful smile. "Thank you, Gabe." he said softly.

group

"You're welcome," Gabe said, returning the smile again.Alex was smiling a lot more. That was nice. He sat down next to Alex, eating his own food.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex picked at his food, again not eating all that much. He tried, though, making a valiant effort to at least eat half his plate.

group

Gabe looked at Alex. He was trying so hard, it really touched him. He smiled softly, proud of Alex. He knew how hard it could be.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex eventually was unable to force himself to eat anymore, and set the plate aside.

group

"Thank you," Gabe said gently. He truly meant it.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Alex looked up at him, and nodded a little bit.

group

Gabe finished his food, taking Alex's with him and putting them away.
