Connor grinned and stroked her hair. "Yup. You got it."
Don't Leave // One-On-One // CLOSED
Raven looked at the city as it slowly became dusk. "It'd beautiful," She breathed, the wind softly moving through her hair and wings.
"I thought you'd like it," he murmured.
Raven hopped onto the railing of the balcony. "I want to go onto the roof." She let herself fall off.
Connor gripped the railing tightly before catching himself. "Duh. My girlfriend can fly." He teleported up to the roof to meet her.
Raven allowed herself to free fall for a little bit. It was different to when her father made her fall. She was… Relaxed. After a short while, she let her wings do their thing and she shot up to the roof.
Connor waited for her and smiled when she arrived. "What do you think?" he asked, turning her to face the city.
"It's even more beautiful up here," Raven said, leaning into Connor.
"Mhmm," he hummed, kissing her hair gently.
"I'm sorry for what I put you through," Raven said suddenly after moments of silence.
"Don't apologize," Connor said. "It was my choice. I could've dumped you the second I found out about your father. Did I?"
Raven smiled. "I guess not. But still. He killed you, Connor."
"Wait, what? He…" Connor found himself slightly agape.
"And then I sacrifices myself for you. He could kill me if you could be alive."
"See? Why would I want to leave a girl that would do that for me?" he asked. "I would do the same thing for you in a heartbeat."
Raven smiled at the thought and nuzzled closer into Connor.
"That's my girl," he said, wrapping her in a delicate embrace.
For the first time in so long, Raven felt safe. She couldn't remember the last time she felt this safe.
Connor sighed happily. "We can go wherever you want."
Raven said nothing for a little while. Then she spoke up. "Have you ever experienced flying? Like, real flying."
Connor shook his head. "Now I'm afraid," he admitted, looking at her skeptically.
"Why? I wasn't suggesting that you jumped off a cliff."
"But you were certainly suggesting something, yeah?"
"Can you guess what I was suggesting?" Raven smiled.
"You…" He pointed to her. "Me…" He pointed to himself, then flapped his hands.
"And how to you suggest we do that?" Raven asked, knowing what the answer should be.
"Babe, you have wings…"
"I know, I was just joking." Raven stood up. "So…do you want to fly?"
"Does LeBron James play basketball?" he asked with a wide grin.
Raven looked awkward. She didn't know the answer. "Uh…"
