Mason hugs him, “If everything goes well, I’ll be back tomorrow. Ok?”

Asani knocked on the vent grate. "May I come in?" (she totally pick-pocketed a few parents as they were leaving the building. sneaky small one)

Mason hums, “Sure. Ima need a hug before I go anyways.” He smiles.

Asani hopped in, holding out a pile of one-dollar bills. It added up to about fifty dollars. "I got you some money to help pay for treatment."

Mason blinks, “Uh- where did you get that-?”

he growls mechanically "t-t-thief."

"It was given to me. For you. It's not much…"

"y-y-ou're right. i-it's no-ot m-much."

Asani moved to the other side of Mason, so she wouldn't be visible to Benny.

Mason sighs, smiling. “Are you sure it was just given to you?”

"i-i-it was-sn't."

"Yes it was. _{most of it..}" She said, holding out a cup of coffee. "They paid for coffee. only a dollar."

Mason sighs, “I hope you didn’t steal anything…and don’t worry…I have enough money for a few rounds of chemo…”

Asani stealthily put about ten dollars back in her pocket, but handed the rest to Mason. "It's not stolen. Take it! i don't have any use for it."

Mason sighs, “I can’t take that…”

"But It's not stolen! I worked to earn it for you!" Asani cried.

Mason sighs, “Well- thank you…but I still feel like I can’t take that…I’m sorry. Thank you though…that was very thoughtful of you.”

"okay.." Asani hugged him, really easily slipping the money into his pocket without him noticing.

Mason smiles and hugs back, “Hm…”

he huffed and went into the charging station, not wanting to be in the situation anymore

Mason sighs, “Ok…i gotta go now…I’ll see you two soon, ok?”

he didn't answer, his ears still back

"Okay! Bye Mason, feel better!" Asani waved, watching him go, before walking over to the charging station.

Mason smiles and waves. As soon as he was out of sight, he sighed and dropped his smile. He trudged to his car and drove off.

Asani approached Benny tentatively. "Mr. Benny? Did.. did i do something wrong?"

he noticed her and stayed in the charging pod, starting at her with his ears down in an upset manner

"oh. Can I talk to you tomorrow?" she asked, not aware he couldn't hear her.
