Alex didn’t press him for an explanation “let’s get out of here then”

Landyn gets up and hops on one foot. "I need crutches or something…"

“Oh yeah. We could probably ask the nurse…”

"True." He said sitting back down. "Nope hopping is not an option"

He smiled. “I’ll be right back then” He went to go find the nurse.

Landyn stayed sitting just staring at his broken foot.

Alex came back with the nurse.

Landyn was lost in thought.

“Earth to Landyn” he said jokingly “you there?”

He flinched. "O-Oh…Yeah."

A brief look of concern flashed across his face but he quickly hid it.

Landyn sneezed a little and laughed. "Omg that was weird"

“You’re weird,” he said teasingly. Then remembering the nurse was there, he fell silent.

Landyn smiled at the nurse. "Thanks for helping"

“It’s my pleasure” she said with a smile

Landyn stands up on one foot. "Do you have any crutches I can use? I can pay for it if needed."

“Sure thing. I’ll be right back.” The lady said, and as she left, Alex visibly relaxed.

Landyn used the wall as a prop.

The nurse came back with a pair of crutches. “Don’t worry, they’re completely free of charge. And you,” she turned to Alex “make sure you take care of him.” Alex was Now really weirded out “y-yes ma’am”

"Ok…What happened while I was out???"

“N-nothing”

"Ummm…Ok…" Landyn grabbed the crutches and thanked the nurse.

“Guess we should get going then. Thanks again.” He said to the nurse.

Landyn smiled. "Ready?"

“Y-yeah”

Landyn started heading out of the room looking to see if Alex was following

Alex followed quickly behind him. Yeah he wanted to get the heck out of this place.

Landyn checked out and sighed. "Finally out."
