“That nurse lady weirded me out. She asked too many questions.” He said as soon as they were outside.

"That's why you didn't want to tell me" He laughed

“Yup. But I’m glad we’re out of there.”

"Same…Too many memories of hospitals/emergency rooms"

“Yeah…” he could relate, all the times he’d shown up beaten half to death. He remembered how they tried to ask him so many questions. He always said that someone had tried to mug him or had attacked him or anything but the truth.

"Since it's late would you like to spend the night at my house?"

“R-really? That’d be nice…if you want me o-of course”

"Sure why not. I mean. You've been in my house once already."

“That’s true…” yeah this was completely different. He desperately hoped that it’d be completely normal.

"Let's go!" he said smiling brightly for once.

Alex felt his face blush. He was so…adorable.

He started heading home trying to stay close to Alex so people don't surround him."

“Jeez you’re adjusting to those crutches pretty well” he said, impressed.
