Landyn heard a knock and opened the door. "Why are you here…"

Alex hovered behind him, automatically ready to defend Landyn.

His dad was at the door. "I-I finally found you…"

Alex waited to see how Landyn would react before he acted. But that didn’t stop him from casting a cold glare at Landyn’s dad in the meantime.

"Why were you looking for me…You left me…I was only fifteen…"

Alex was shaking slightly out of repressed anger. Whether intentionally or not, this man had hurt his boyfriend.

His dad flinched. "I-I…"
Landyn walked away from the door. "You can ask him questions now."

Alex sighed quietly, turning an angry glare on Landyn’s Dad. “Why did you leave him? I don’t want an excuse, God knows I’ve heard enough of them. Just tell me the truth, he at least deserves to know why.”

"I was…Afraid…If he thought his dad died and he just sprung to life would be scary…He wasn't used to death…" He sighs.

“And you thought that making him think you were dead for 7 whole years was a better alternative?!” He tried his best to remain calm and rational but he just couldn’t.

"It's not like I had a choice. I wasn't even planning to see him there."

“Explain how you supposedly ‘didn’t have a choice’”

"Ask that creepy ass hospital."

He sighed “of course it was the damn hospital” he muttered before returning his attention to the issue. “And what, they just let you out after seven years?”

"More like kept me there against my will and I finally got out."

“That hardly sounds legal…”

"It's not…But…His mom…"

“…what happened to her?”

"She did die…"

“….that’s awful….”

"…I should go…I can see I'm not welcomed…"

“It’s okay….let me go see if he’d want to try to talk to you.” He sighed “he doesn’t mean to be upset, he’s just been through a lot since then.”

"…Y-You sure…?"

“It’s worth a shot at least trying to explain it to him. This doesn’t mean I like you or anything. He just deserves to know.”

He nods.
Landyn was crying in his room

Alex figured that’s where he’d be and lightly knocked on the door. “Babe?”

He was in a corner.

He sat down next to him “can we talk for a second?”

"…About what…"

“He didn’t want to leave you Landyn….”
