(I mean that is what I'm going for. It also doesn't help that Esme reminds Victor so much of William but furthermore of himself, even if he won't admit it.)
gay-thic lit anyone? (o/o)
(Victor: Science is a lie. Don't do it.
Esme: Shan't.)
(I mean, as if Esme would actually listen to his sexist blustering and shitty excuses.)
(Idk this was rushed- https://s3.amazonaws.com/notebook-content-uploads/content/uploads/original/46b24d08-92f9-4bbc-801d-31ba940a6fb9.jpeg?1611544364)
(I would like to remind you all that: this)
(Victor, trying to scare Esme off of science by being a sexist asshole: women can't be scientists because they aren't sensible enough and–)
(Esme, not giving a shit: your science-witch is mean— anyway check out these bugs i found)

(exactly, I'm so jealous)
He furrowed his brow, then shrugged. “Can’t argue with that, now can I? I think you’d be great scientist, if you wanted to.”
What… concerning opinions Victor had. At least it didn’t seem to be getting to Esme. In fact, she displayed wisdom beyond her years, and Victor’s opinions for that matter. Robert felt a small surge of pride, but half-heartedly gazed at the forget-me-nots and not making an attempt to remind his niece of the name.
“They’re beautiful,” he murmured. Then he sighed, not wanting to wait any longer. Just to get her attention, he said, “Hey, Esme?”

(Indeed!)
(I think I'm going to just stalk, I wouldn't be able to keep up)
(One more reason to absolutely love Esme)

(Same. I'm also just starting a creative writing class so I'll be diverting my Writer Juice to that. But thank you for the offer, it means a lot!!)
(Also me: drowns in more compliments)
(Dang it idk how else to respond to this other than thank you!!! Honestly though, I felt like half the time I didn’t know what I was doing. Although it was nice to research Regency Era fashion for it, so)

"Yes? What is it?" Esme asked, sitting down in the dirt and inevitably staining her dress further than it already was, patting the ground on the side of her for Robert to sit down beside her. She knew that something was off, and didn't want to wait any longer to deal with it. She was very to-the-point in that way.

(Honestly I envy people who ACTUALLY research fashion. I just put everyone in things I think look cool and call it a day.)
(by researching I mean looking at random pins on Pinterest lol)
(I mean, I googled that Frankenstein was published in 1818 so I was like, huh, so what kinda clothes should they be wearing? So, y’know)
(Oh, so we're about the same in terms of levels of research. Okay, cool.)

(Oh that reminds me, I finally got a copy of the 1818 edition! I want to read it soon-ish, I think the edition I've read was the reprint)
(Woah that’s cool!)
(Cool! I believe my copy is the 1818 edition, but I'm not sure. I have two copies technically.)

(I have the 1818 text, the Barnes and Noble classics edition, a dumbed-down kid's version, and another Barnes and Noble copy, the one with the foamy cover and red sprayed edges)
(fksjhbd i have only read and own a relatively new copy (like. 2019 lmao) I wanna get my hands on an 1818 copy tho)
He obliged, sitting down beside her. He hesitated for a moment, staring at the forget-me-nots, then he forced himself to meet his niece’s eyes. His voice quivered, “When I’m away… Do you believe I don’t love you?”
(Me: hasn’t actually read the book)
(:O)

(:O you gotta!!)
