Robert didn’t want to get out of bed. He’d forgotten how warm and comfortable the bed in his room was. The one he had on the ship? Not so much. But he got up anyway, watching the way the sunlight filtered in through window and turned everything golden before slipping out of the covers.
After getting dressed and tying up his hair, he looked around for a moment, unsure of what to do. There was no crew to manage, no grand adventure or destination ahead of him. Then his stomach grumbled, and he thought the kitchen would be a wonderful destination for now. He made his way downstairs.

@ElderGod-Icefire

(ajshdhgss I just want you all to know that I mother fucking dreamed about this RP last night, specifically Victor and the Creature, but I think Robert was there too at some point)

(ASDDFGJ well now you gotta tell me what the dream was-)

@ElderGod-Icefire

(I don't remember many details any more, but it was some sort of apocalyptic thing?? Maybe?? And Victor and the Creature were there and they fought like. Nearly the whole time)

Esme was sitting there already, eating some sort of small cakes and an apple. "Good morning, Uncle Robert. Are you and your friends going to go out for the day?" she asked, tilting her head some. "If you are, can I come along? I'm so bored now that Mother is gone all the time." she said, groaning dramatically.

(Opinions on torture? It will be mild, but like, mind games and stuff like that. Also, are you okay with me forcing my "immortal boyfriends suck, actually." agenda on y'all? Because I'm having a lot of Ideas for this.)

@Tired-but-passionate

(Sure, why not lol I’m curious now)

@Tired-but-passionate

Robert grabbed himself an apple and sat down next to her. “Good morning,” he said. “Ah, I don’t know, my dear. I think you’d find a lot of what we’re going to do pretty boring. A lot of paying people and things.”
He took a bite, his mind drifting elsewhere. After he ate, he still needed to figure out exactly how much of the damage he could pay for. He had the money to pay the crew, he knew that, but for the damage he wasn’t sure. A good chunk of it, at least.

(Dorian Gray is a fuckboy and I stand by this opinion. I don't care that he's gay or bi or whatever I literally will not let this go until someone actually backs me on this. He is at best comic relief in an asshole way.)

"Oh. Right. Well, I guess it'll just be Mum and me then." she said, finishing her apple and leaving the table. "See you later."

Margaret shortly after entered the room, sitting down and making absolutely no eye contact with anyone. She stayed that way until Victor entered, and gave him a stare that could slice through your face if you weren't careful.

He didn't seem to notice, mostly just focusing on staying upright and not totally collapsing on the floor. "R-Robert, good morning! I see you're… up." he couldn't find a way to compliment the man until he sat then, and by then it was too late. "So, what do you have planned for the day?" he asked. "Visiting the bank first or-would you stop staring at me like that, Mrs. Saville?" he hissed.

(Dhsggs maybe lmao. Nice!)

@Tired-but-passionate

(Oof I don’t know anything about Dorian Gray but for some reason he gave off this depressed vibe to me? Idk lol)

He simply waved a farewell to Esme and continued munching on his apple. He watched his sister enter and absentmindedly stared at her as he chewed, for no real reason. Perhaps it was because he had just woken up, and didn’t care where his eyes went, only his mind. Then Victor came in and Robert started staring at him instead. After a few seconds, he realized he’d been asked a question.
“Oh, what am I doing?” He muttered to himself, shaking his head and turning his gaze back onto the smaller man, it becoming more focused.
“Sorry Victor, good morning,” he said. “I just need to calculate the exact amount I need, then perhaps we could visit the bank. I also need to pay the crew as well, so we’ll be heading to the docks again.”
He got up to get some of the cakes Esme had been eating, and got one for himself and Victor. He came back to the table and set the cake in front of the other man. He sat down, finished his apple, then started on the cake.

Victor gratefully took the small pastry, chewing thoughtfully as he stared out the window, then to Robert, then to the window again because his father had told him staring at other men was rude, and could border on sinful with the wrong intent. Victor had no idea what this wrong intent was and when he asked, his father said he didn't need to think of such horrors. He couldn't help it, Robert was a very lovely man and made a very lovely view, and also he was feeling somewhat anxious about going out into town. What if someone recognized him? What if they knew what he'd done?

@Tired-but-passionate

(Victor: thinks staring at a man is worse than braiding/messing with his hair)

If Robert thought Victor staring at him was offensive, he didn’t show it. In fact, he had also gone back to absentmindedly staring at Victor anyway, taking in his bony hands, the way his eyes flickered to the window, how his hair fell over his shoulders. Perhaps he should have his hair braided, it would look nice on him.
Robert’s brow furrowed. The longer he looked at Victor, the more it seemed that the man was nervous.
“Victor, are you feeling alright?” He asked. He remembered how cautious he had been when he entered the room, probably trying to keep himself upright. “Do you think you’ll fall ill while we’re out?” He added.

(He may be stupid-)

Victor startled, shaking his head once the question registered. “No, no, I doubt it. I… ah, I’ll just need to rest some, from time to time. I’m sure I won’t be a problem.” he said, looking a bit fearful of Robert, but in a way that didn’t actually feel all that scary.

@Tired-but-passionate

(And yet he’s literally smart enough to create life)

Robert tilted his head at him, then shrugged and finished his cake. “I suppose I’ll have to take your word for it.”
He got up and made himself a glass of water to wash his meal down, then came back and hugged Margaret’s shoulders. “Will you and Esme be alright? Do you have any plans?” He asked.

(He's like, a twinky halfway himbo. Like, he has one braincell and he devotes it to being oblivious to like, other people and evil gay people science. Like, creating a "perfect man" via science is very trans. I stand by this idea.)

"We'll be going into town too. It's about time we had a day out, and besides, I need to do some shopping." she said. "Esme and I will meet up with you at the bank by, say, noon? That should give me enough time to do what needs done." she nodded, seeming a bit more cheerful now. "Oh! And, we can easily send off anything by post if it needs sending, I know how you miss your brother so."

"How did you know that?" Victor asked, a bit accusingly.

"Oh, Esme told me, I know she listens at doors. Funny, I never actually see her near any doors for listening. Oh well, she is a bit of a sneak." Margaret shrugged, not particularly bothered by this fact.

@Tired-but-passionate

(Lol can’t argue with that)

“Alright, wonderful,” Robert said, subconsciously filing the mention of Esme’s sneaking habits away in his brain. “Calculating the amount shouldn’t take that long though. Perhaps we could go to the docks first, and then we could make it to the bank by noon? I have no preference.”

(Idk he's smart enough to bring life to the dead, but dumb enough to ruin his life doing so.)

"Do what you need to do by noon. I'm not babysitting your new friends, however. You'll have to bring them with you." she said, in a way that was too sweet to actually be kind. She took one of the pastries from the plate, and bit down into the soft dough. "I don't care whether the tall one stays or goes, though. He probably has enough troubles in public, with that strange face of his."
