Sebastian smiled and nodded, "Maybe." He sighed and looked around, "Whatever the reason, let's just get to your house before I catch a cold."
Gone // One-On-One // CLOSED
Jami looked around. She spotted her home, even though it wasn't hard. She lived in the big mansion on the hill.
He continued walking and looked down at her as he continued towards her house, a small smile on his face.
"Do you ever wish that you could see spirits like I do?" Jami asked suddenly.
"Hm?" He looked over at her and thought for a minute, "In all honesty, no I don't.. What about you? Do you ever wish that you could phase? Minus the very painful part."
"Well, in a way I already can. My magic allows me, but it's raw. I can't focus it sometimes so I don't try."
He nodded, "Sometimes I wish I didn't have any powers besides my Energy Constructs, that is the one power I like.." He sighed and looked over at her, "Do you ever wonder what life would be like without your powers?"
"I wish I couldn't see spirits and magic trails. It was beautiful as a kid, but now it's just so infuriating. But I can't imagine life without my actual powers."
"I suppose..life would be so different.." Sebastian said, looking around, "It would be weird, but cool."
"The only way I'd give up this life is if I could be born to different parents."
He nodded and squeezed her hand lightly, "I suppose."
Jami smiled softly. "But the thing is, if I had different parents, I wouldn't have met you. We wouldn't have been friends. We wouldn't have fallen in love."
"That's true, but you'd be happier, have a happier life, that's all that matters." He said, looking at her with a small smile, "As long as you're happy."

"I wouldn't be happy without you," Jami said. "You're the one thing that keeps me grounded."

at all)
He shrugged, "But maybe that would be different if you were in a different family and we didn't know each other." Sebastian looked around and sighed, he hated being around a lot of people.
Jami read his face. "We're almost there, Seb," She said reassuringly, squeezing his hand.
"I know…I just don't like people, or loud noises..and lots of people make loud noises, so logic." He said, squeezing her hand back, "You know I don't like either of those things."
"You're gonna have to get used to it, Seb. As much as I'd like to stay holed all day, we do have to go out."
He nodded and sighed again, "I know, I should get more used to it if I'm near more people, but there are times when I just can't handle it."
"That's when you come to me. You know what I can do with my magic, I've done it with you before."
"I know..but I don't want to force you to help me, I need to train myself to realize that loud noises aren't always bad and that people are ok."
Jami smiled softly. "Sweetie, you can never make me help you. I'll always do it. I love you."
He gave her a weak smile, "And I love you Jami," He said, "I just feel like I'll be too clingy and overly dependent on you if you have to help me, and you already told me that I need to be less clingy."
"I told you that you need to be less clingy, but there's a difference between you always being reliant on my and me offering my help."
He sighed and nodded, "I'll try to deal with it on my own, I might ask for your help if I need it though.." Sebastian looked around and squeezed her hand again, silently telling himself he could do this.
They reached the gates of Jami's home. She walked over to the intercom. "Let me in."
"Who might this be?" The person on the other side asked.
"Jami."
"Full name."
"Jamie-Leigh Anna Reeves."
Sebastian stayed quiet, he didn't always have to introduce himself to the intercom if Jami said she was bringing a guest in, but he wanted to be ready to say his name if he had to.
