Cameron’s gaze didn’t flicker from the point of space he was staring at.
“No.”
Luca glanced between Cameron and Casey, alarmed. "Cam…" she whispered, softly enough that she hoped no one else heard her.

Luca nodded at Casey once. Her face firm and serious for once. Standing and turning sharply on a stiletto heel, she walked to stand in front of Cameron. "Cam." She said solemnly, looking into his sorrowful face. "I need you to focus. We're Casey's back up. She can't be worried about you and the job." She paused, biting her lip. "I need you– " To protect me too… "–to get your shit in order for this. Two hours tops. Then you can go back to moping." She sounded harsh, but she reached out and grasped his shoulder before sliding a hand to his cheek. "Cam…"
Cameron snapped back to attention when he felt her touch him and shook her off.
“I will be focused. All you and Casey need to worry about it that job, not me. I can take myself.” He resisted a deep sigh. A nipping feeling attacked him. But he shook it off too. Too much nipping. Too much worry for him. Had he always felt like this?
“Thanks for being worried. But I’m fine.”

Luca stumbled back a step, her hand still hanging in the air. It stung as if he had slapped it away. She lowered it, tucking it into the pocket of her fitted coat. Her face hardened and Luca turned away from him with a huff, only to hide her hurt expression. "Fine. Whatever. Just don't fuck this up."
Cameron shook himself out and relaxed into the chair, looking disgruntled and put-off.
“Yeah. I won’t.”

Lane watched this with amused eyes. "Y'all have no clue how to flirt, do you?" He says with a shit eating grin as he closes his laptop.
