(Sure. You want to start?)
Hero vs Villain (O/O)
(Sure. But what should happen now?)
(Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm. I could start and have King wake up from a nightmare or something.)
(That can work!)
(Okay!)
There was blood everywhere. It coated King’s body like a sticky second skin and no matter what he tried it wasn’t coming off. The man’s dead body laid slumped down in front of him while all around him people were screaming murderer. King couldn’t take it any more and he curled up on himself crying muttering I’m sorry. When he looked back up there was a gun pointed at his head and-
He woke with a start tears streaming down his face and his throat sore from either screaming or crying in his sleep. King moved himself so he was away from all edges of the bed pushing himself against the headboard. He was still muttering and shaking, “I didn’t mean to. I’m sorry.”
Colbt was awake, never really one needing sleep. He was working on a project when he heard someone screaming bloody murder and crying. His jolts up from the table, his seat flying back as he pushed up the stairs to Pax's room. It wasn't his little brother… He hurried to King's room and opened the door, his eyes wide with worry. His eyes soften when he saw King. "Oh my.little hero…" He whispers, hurrying to his bed. He gently cupped his cheeks. "Shhhh, it's okay. It's okay. You're safe now, you're safe." He gently wiped away King's tears. He gently gathers King into a gentle hugs. *I've got you."
King didn’t know what to do. He- He hadn’t expected this and his mind was still other places. He had thought his PTSD was bad before, but this was even worse. He ended up shifting his arms around Colby before continuing to sob. He felt like a child yet a hug was what he really needed the most. He muttered between the sobs, “S-Sorry.”
Colby gently rocked him back and forth, brushing some hair from his eyes and wiping away his tears. "My little hero, you have nothing to be sorry for." He coos softly. "You're safe. It's okay." He muttered. "Just cry. Let it all out." He assures gently. "It makes you feel better…"
King kept crying despite his attenpts to stop. He didn't want to appear weak in front of Void any more than he already had, but just crying felt so damn good. He started to wonder how in the world he was going to go back to fighting against him after this was all over. It took sone time but the tea rs finally stopped and King looked back up at Colby. His voice was hoarse as he said, "Thank you."
Colby let him cry, holding him and hugging him gently. "It's okay… It's okay. You're safe now." He whispers softly. As the other stopped crying, he gently wiped away his tears. "It's okay now." He smiled gently when the other thanked him. "Of course. I'm right here." He muttered softly.
King let go of Void and leaned back a little. He went to wipe at his eyes even though Void had already done so. Exhausted from just letting all of his emotions out he looked at Void, "I can stay as long as I need right?"
Colby gently pulls away, his eyes soft as he gazes at the male in concern. Colby was a patient man, someone who could wait ages just for the perfect moment to attack. But this time he wasn't attacking someone. He was helping them. He looked up when King spoke. "Of course. As long as you need."
"I really don't know what to say other than thank you," King said in response the that. His hand went up to thread through his hair pulling it back. He was thinking about everything he had to do since he was well aware he was in no mental state to go to either class or to the cafe. He was also still wary of Void since he was being helpful, but he could easily just end King's hero career in a second, "I- Do you have a phone I could borrow?"
"Don't need to say anything more." He replied gently, a warm smile on his lips. Just because Colby was a villain to the public didn't mean that he couldn't be a human when he was at home. He starts before nodding at the question. "Of course." He stood and walked to the other side of the bed. "Here." It looked like one of the phones you would usually see in an office. "It works, don't worry. Do you need anything else?" He asks gently.
King looked to the phone and made note of it. He hadn't even noticed it yet, that. That was a little surprising, but he had been fairly out of it up until this point. He thought before biting his lip slightly, "Can I get a computer too? I just need to send a few emails so people don't worry about me."
Colby nods. "Alright." He smiled a little bit before his eyes turned soft. "Are you okay? Do you need anything? Water?" He asks gently, his eyes soft as he stood and walked to the door. He would offer the other his spar computer. It hadn't been used, and he was planning on returning it.
"I, food might be nice," King responded since his stomach felt empty and wasn't churning like before. He would still be careful since he knew very well what could happen if he didn't watch out, "Something light. Do you think I'm okay?"
He nods. "I think you can handle something light. Does grilled cheese and tomato soup sound good?" He asks gently, his eyes soft as he stood by the door. "Anything else?" He asks gently. There was a kind smile on his lips.
"Sounds amazing," King was on an empty stomach. Anything would have sounded amazing. He shook his head and finally undid the pony his hair had been in almost all night. His body felt icky dirty and he couldn't shake the feeling that he was covered in blood, "No, um, except. Where could I shower or something of that sort?"
He glances up before nodding. "Second door down. It has a shower and seperate bath." He chuckles softly before exiting the room. He walks down to the kitchen, getting the food ready. He hummed softly to himself, his eyes shutting as he worked.
King let out a sigh and took a deep breath once Void had left. He moved and put his feet on the ground. Releasing his breath he stood up and was able to stay standing which he had been a little worried about. He walked over to the phone and dialed up the number that was the cafe. He took a deep breath when the other side picked up, "Hey… It's King. I won't be able to take my shifts for… A while."
"What why?" his bosses voice came through crystal clear. Heh crystal. She didn't sound mad just concerned.
"Family emergency," King said running a hand through his hair and rested it on his neck, "I'm out of town at the moment."
"Oh dang… Mom again?"
King let out a breath, "Yeah."
"Okay. I won't schedule or worry you until you give me the okay."
"Thanks V," King had a sad smile on. He really wished that his boss would question more, but she wasn't going to. Vida had been a college friend and really close to King when his mother had gone through her first round of cancer. King had continued in law, Vida had opened a coffee shop.
"No problem!" Vida said with a laugh, "I'll check in on you soon okay?"
"Yeah," King said before taking back his words slightly, "I left my phone and laptop in my apartment when rushing over. I'm using a… friend's at the moment. So don't expect to me respond through that."
"Got it," Vida responded, "I'll wait for you then."
"Thanks again. Bye," King hung up not feeling like talking to her for much longer. The more he did talk her the closer he was getting to telling her his actual issue. That wouldn't have been smart so he just hung up. He fell back onto the bed fighting off the guilt crawling it's way back up.
He hummed quietly, singing to himself. He finished making the food and placed it onto a tray. He fills a glass of water and smiled a little bit as he carried the food. He knocked quietly, the food hovering beside him. He opened the door and smiled a little bit. "Here's you're food." He smiled. "Here you are."
King looked over to where Void entered. He sat up on the bed and turned so he was facing him. His voice had a little forced tease in it, "Here I am. And you have food."
"Indeed I do." He laughs quietly. He sets the food down, his eyes gentle as he gazes at the other. "I'll bring the laptop in just a moment." He smiled warmly.
King gave him a smile, one of those little half-smirk smiles. He was truly grateful for everything Void was doing for him. He moved over so he was closer to the food, "Okay, thank you."
He nods and smiles a little before exiting the room, off to find the computer. He hummed quietly as he did so, managing to find it. He enters again. "Alright. I found the computer but it needs to charge." He plugs it in.
"That's fine," King responded having started to eat small bites. The more he seemed to eat the harder his stomach fought but at the same time demanded. It was confusing to say the least, "I don't have any clas… Forget I said that."
He didn't want to reveal too much of his personal life. His face was enough for now.
Colby nods and smiles a little bit. "It's no problem." He sighed softly. "Relax. I'm not going to do anything to you. Just call if you need anything." He mutters softly before leaving the room again and heading back to the kitchen and grabbing something to eat. He was so hungry.
King felt a little bad, but that his one policy. Don't get your hero life and civilian life intermixed. He continued to eat feeling his stomach start to churn with ever bite and somehow his dumbass brain started to think the tomato soup was a bowl of blood which made him more queasy. He stopped eating and put the food as far away from him as physically possible. He sat back down on the bed and ran a hand through his hair. Just relax. You're safe. Everything's fine.
Colby heard a door open and he looked up in surprise. "Pax, you're out of bed…?" he murmurs softly as his little brother walks towards him slowly. He coughs weakly and Colby gently hugs him. "You should be resting…" He mutters as he glances down at his younger brother. Pax is a spiting image of Colby, from the rusty brown hair to the color of his eyes. "Couldn't sleep… and I don't want to stay in bed all day… I hate it…" Pax replies hoarsely as he leans into his brother.
