King was careful as he put an arm around Colby to give him a silent comfort. He, he understood what Colby was going through and wanted to be there. He didn't have words for Colby, but he could offer some comfort.
Hero vs Villain (O/O)
Colby leaned into the comfort, glad King wasn't saying anything. Colby didn't think he would be able to talk past the lump in his throat. He sighed softly and ran a hand through his hair before glancing on his little brother.
King gave Colby a little squeeze. He looked out the back window to see the city running past as they sped through. His leg started to bounce up and down slightly in worry for Pax.
Pax wasn't looking to well, his face had become pale, and he was clammy. Colby hid his face in his hands, but gazing up at his brother. "Please… be okay…" he whispers.
King was quiet for the entire ride and they finally arrived at the hospital. The paramedics rushed Pax out of the ambulance and into the hospital. King helped Colby into the building and tried to get them as far as they could.
(I'm really sorry for being gone the past few days. I was in a really bad mental state so I didn't have much energy to reply to any rps)
Colby let the paramedics take his brother, soft and pathetic whimpers leaving his lips as he cried into his hands. He was so worried. Pax was all he had left now. And the way Pax had looked, had felt… Gosh he was so worried.
(No it's fine! Take all the time you need when it comes to stuff like that.)
"He'll be okay," King reassured Colby. He had kept his arm around the taller male to maintain some type of presence. He really had to believe Pax would be fine.
Colby nods as he relaxed into King. He needed warmth and King- he was so warm. So comforting. It made him feel a million times better leaning into King. He rests his head on King's shoulder. "Th-thank you…" He manages.
"You're welcome," King responds back softly and with a smile. He hadn't expected for Colby to lean against him, but was more than fine with the situation.
Colby sniffed softly and shut his eyes, worried, tired and defeated. He didn't want to loose his little brother. Not when he had lost his parents.
King let Colby do his thing. He was going to be a rock for the villain to cry on for now. But the line between the villain Void and the man Colby was starting to blur and King didn't think he'd be able to tell the difference once it was all over.
Colby finally calmed down and smiled, "Thank you…" He whispers weakly. Colby had never really liked being alone when Pax was in the hospital. But now at least he had some company.
"Your welcome," King responded softly with a little smile. He thought for a moment, "I can give you my number so you don't have to be here alone if it happens again."
He nods and smiles at the other. "I would appreciate that." He mutters quietly, his eyes soft. He handed the other his cellphone and offered a weak smile in return.
King took the cellphone with a grin and put his number in. He handed it back to Colby with a new contact called Emergency, "Here. Don't be afraid to use it."
"Thank you, King." He mutters softly. His eyes are soft as he looked down. He closed his phone before looking around in worry. He wanted to know if his brother was okay.
King gave him a little smile and watched Colby looked around. He figured the nurses wouldn't let King back, but they would let Colby back. He was Pax's brother after all. He looked to Colby, "Why don't you ask if you can go back to check on him?"
Colby was eyeing a nurse, wanting to ask her if he could see his little brother, but usually he would have to wait a while before he could see if his brothers condition was getting any better or worse. He looks over at King and shrugs hopelessly. "I'm not sure…"
"Do they normally let you back?" King asked him quietly. He wanted to know if he needed to talk his way into getting the two brothers back.
"Not usually… At least not until their done running tests or running a surgery…" He sighed softly and shut his eyes.
King thought for a moment running his head through what he could remember about hospital procedure. Everything seemed normal, but… "Do you want to try and see him now?"
Colby sighed softly before looking up. He smiled sadly at the other before shaking his head. "It's alright… I'm used to waiting." He mutters softly, rubbing his face.
"If that's what you want that's fine," King told Colby with a little smile, "But if you wanted to see him sooner, I could try to talk you through."
He shook his head. "I don't think- I don't think I could face him…" He whispers quietly. "Not yet at least…" He mutters.
“Okay,” King responded back quietly. He hadn’t expected Colby to take the option anyway, but felt as if he needed to put it out there for Colby to know that was something that could be done.
Colby sighed quietly as he shook, looking around nervously for a nurse before seeing a doctor walking up to him. He stood and he felt his heart drop at the look on the doctors face. "Sir! My little brother, Pax…" He begged, but was silenced by the doctor shaking his head. "He's not dead… but he's fallen into a coma." He mutters, his eyes gentle. Colby felt himself stumble. He sat back down, his head in his hands.
King was there and ready for Colby. He felt his heart drop at the news about Pax. That, that wasn't good. At least Pax wasn't dead. King held Colby once more giving him silent comfort.
Colby rests his head in his hands, his eyes shutting as he felt the anger and pain ball up in his chest. "We're trying to do all we can." the doctor says gently. Colby nods and waves him away, trying his hardest not to cry.
King could see Colby was in distress. He was very careful and quiet as he asked Colby, "Do you need anything?"
Colby shakes his head. "No… It's alright." He mutters softly as he curled into himself. "I-I don't know…" He whispers softly.
