Ehlaea chuckled again. She then noticed his actions, immediately guessing why he was looking around.
“We are in the dining hall of the Pharaoh’s palace,”she said.

Mithonbaal had noticed all the art, but wasn't particularly interested. Sure it was good, but art wasn't really his thing. He turns back to Ehlaea.
"Yes, I had quite forgotten." he grins.

(Oh, lmao! I hadn't even realized there was a wrong name in that response!)

(Lol)
Ehlaea smiled.
“I noticed. Though, it does make sense considering how focused you’ve been on me,”she mused.
Mithonbaal turns red. "I-" His words fail him for once.

At that moment, the doors of the dining hall burst open and around two dozen servants, draped in golden jewelry and elaborately decorated linen skirts, and carrying platters of exotic dishes, from Indian roasted peacocks to Ethiopian giraffe meat, from Chaldean pomegranates to Lydian cherries, with breads and drinks a plenty. Behind them, the Pharaoh, in all his gold and ivory glory entered, arms spread open invitingly, a wide smile on his face. behind him walked his somber sister, in a robe of near transparent linen, with a much less open posture. All these factors made her appear rather ghost-like. Nonetheless, the Pharaoh began to speak, and all must listen when the Pharaoh speaks " Good morning my champions! This morning, we feast, so as to set off in good spirits!" he looked around at the scene and smiled "It seems you all have been acquainting yourselves" he chuckled. The princess behind him looked up with a straight face unlike her brother. The only golden garment she seemed to be wearing was her golden vulture headdress, a symbol of Nekhbet. Then he gestured to his sister to sit among them, but before doing so, he placed a small item in her hands, not visible to the others. "Eat quick and eat well, we leave in just half of an hour." He finished, and began to leave "I bid you a farewell, and may the gods be with you" at this, the doors closed again, all the servants had left, and the tables were full of food.
Mithonbaal looks relieved at the arrival of the food and looks around. He sighs, then grabs a single plate, loading it up with food. In a matter of minutes, his plate is clean and he leans back, done. He glances at Ehlaea out of the corner of his eye, and his redness, which had started to fade away, returned full force.

Ehlaea stifled a laugh at Mithonbaal’s reaction, then turned to listen to the Pharoah. When he left, Ehlaea made herself a plate, deciding to try a few of the many new foods. She ate calmly and quietly, though she did her best to not take too long.
As she finished, Ehlaea noticed Mithonbaal’s glance and couldn’t help a tiny smile of amusement. That she had made the assassin react so was shocking, but also quite funny.
Mithonbaal notices her noticing his glance, and turns. "Never before have I been rendered so speechless." he grins.
Efraim turned to watch the stream of plates and the royals enter, and raised an eyebrow when Pharoh made his exchange with the princess. They bowed their head to the princess as she was seated, then turned their attention to the food. None of the meat was kosher, they already knew, but there was a plate of flatbread, and the various fruits and vegetables looked particularly appetizing. Taking a plate, Efraim filled it with the flatbread, fruits, and vegetables, then prayed over it, thanking the God of the Israelites for it and once again asking for safety. The words of their prayer were the first audible words they had spoken that day, and in Hebrew as well. Only then did they begin to eat.
Mithonbaal, upon hearing the Hebrew, turned, surprised. Who knew? The artist can talk.

The Princess, Neni, looked around nervously but kept to herself. She had no reason to speak to any of them. She hadn't even really consented to this mission. She looked in her hand again, making sure nobody could see. At least she had it with her. She sighed, grabbed a plate of just bread, and sat down, nibbling it at random intervals.
Mithonbaal, as attuned to everything as he was, noticed Neni's nervousness. She has her secrets, as I have mine, and as everyone else does.

Ehlaea looked at Mithonbaal, her little smile lingering.
“I suppose I am honored to be the first to make you speechless. I was notorious for doing that to people as a child,”she said quietly, still holding back a laugh.
She saw Mithonbaal’s glance at Efraim, but was unsure why. Was it the language, or was Efraim more quiet than she had first thought. She mentally shrugged, figuring she would find out eventually.
Ehlaea then glanced at Neni. She was quiet for a Princess, but Ehlaea appreciated that. It was a nice contrast to Ica, and considerably more interesting.
Mithonbaal laughs himself, noticing Ehlaea's supressed laughter. "You should be. And I doubt it shall be the last time, either."
He gives a little sighs, still chuckling slightly. "I was merely surprised that he was able to talk. I had yet to hear him utter a word."
He notices Ehlaea's glance towards Neni. His voice gets quieter. "She is unusually quiet for a princess, no?"

Tilila did not get up to eat. She was still fasting. It was her way of showing her ancestors both her faith in them, and her strength of will. She did however notice the strange stillness of the princess. It was suspicious, but not something she was too worried about. After all, she should be the most trustworthy right? At the moment at least, she seemed to trust the artist more than anybody. Their comfortable silence really helped her composure. At this thought, she looked over at them again and noticed they were whispering something in a language similar to libyan and egyptian, but she couldn't quite understand it. Likely their native language. She heard Mithonbaal and Ehlea speaking, and chimed in a bit " Speaking is not really a requirement. We are all sort of complete strangers to each other, so it might take some time for some to accustom. Silence is welcome among strangers." she said, her voice soft. She said this in defense of both Neni and Efraim, though mostly she was just defending silence in general. She liked silence.

Ehlaea chuckled, her cheeks becoming a light pink at his words.
She then shrugged to his comment on Efraim, his words confirming her second guess. She wasn’t too surprised. Nor was she surprised by Tilila’s comment, and she nodded respectfully at the warrior.
She looked at Mithonbaal when he asked about Neni.
“Intriguingly so. Though, I have always been intrigued by quieter folk,”she replied, her words as quiet as Mithonbaal’s.
(…fuck)

(You're fine, you can pick up where you left off and gradually reach where we are)
(Lmao, yeah, sorry! Kinda just responding at this point cus I need something to do.)
(Tina just started laughing when she read that. Gods above…)
(:') Alright, I'll try.)
(Tell tina ayo from me!!)
(She's literally right here!)
(From Tina, who's glaring at me playfully: Glad to see someone appreciates my humour.)
(Ahh I feel that, that’s why group rps are kinda intimidating to me sometimes)
Mithonbaal noticed Ehlaea's pink flush and grinned. "It seems to me like you find my words to be a bit… pleasing, no?"
Efraim couldn’t help but feel embarrassed by the whispers they heard. It has been difficult to speak for as long as they could remember, especially when their father’s health began to decline. They could only talk for prolonged periods with him, but with everyone else they just… couldn’t. Having been raised to pray aloud just made it more natural to speak aloud, they supposed. Strange how it was easier to speak to the Lord while everyone else found it easier to speak to each other.
Tilila’s words comforted them, however. Efraim found themself warming up to her. After giving her a grateful glance, they finished off their plate.
Ica laughs warmly to Cassia, then gently touches her shoulder. "No no, my princess. Let us focus on or meal first." She can't help but stare at Mithonbaal and Ehlaea and feel particularly jealous. She was the center of attention. She deserved the interests of her peers. Not Ehlaea. She sighs, then lights up at the sight of the feast. She turns her attention to the princess, watching her carefully, then gasps at the sound of Efraim speaking. "Oh, wonderful, my flower! I see you can raise your voice in appreciation of your Gods!" She smiles, then looks to Tillia. "My dear, what is keeping you from eating? We have a particularly demanding journey ahead of us." She says as she piles her plate high with an assortment of foods.
Mithonbaal notices Ica's jealousy. Well, it seems our Royal is jealous of my interactions wth Ehlaea!
