Eric sat in the back of the classroom, early for once, feet kicked up on the desk, humming to himself. He ran a hand through his choppy, slightly too long black and now red hair, a result of a armature dye job over the weekend. He tapped his finger against his leg, a small smirk playing on his lips when his gray eyes caught his rival-maybe-friend-who-really-knew-at-this-point. "Hello, bitch."
Jackson had just walked into his classroom, at his normal stupidly early time, shaking his short blond haired head in an attempt to wake up. He heard a "Hello bitch," before feeling a slight smirk tug on his face while he let out a slight sigh before taking his seat in front of Eric. He turned so his bright blue eyes were looking at the now red headed boy before responding, "Hello Eric. Dyed your hair again?"
"Oh, you noticed?" Eric said, nodding. "Did it myself." He said it with a bit of pride, bringing his hands up and behind his head. "And I think you'd notice I'm not late for once, so you can get off my back." He grinned smugly, leaning back and almost falling back in his chair, letting out a small yelp.
"Uh huh," Jax nodded as he watched as Eric almost fell back in his chair. He leaned on the back board of his with his arms crossed and his head resting on the two arms, "Doing it once doesn't mean you're going to keep doing it. Do it again tomorrow and then I might get off your back."
"Nah, I almost died on my way. That doesn't happen when you come in late." Eric said, shrugging as he tried not to yawn. Ugh, curse the noise in my parents room!
"And when you come in late, you get in trouble," Jax countered seamlessly, "How did you almost die by the way? There's got to be some story behind that."
"I didn't sleep again and almost got hit by a car. And before that, woke up my dad trying to leave, and I wouldn't be surprised if he killed me." He said casually. "Not getting in trouble isn't worth my life."
"Geez dude," Jax winced a little. Almost getting hit by a car and waking up a sleeping dad, not good, "That's some bad luck you got there. Besides if you keep coming early, I'm sure the problems will stop."
"I wanna live to graduation, Jax." Eric said, leaning forward to fix the laces on his combat boots. "I ain't risking it." He smiled slightly in satisfaction as he leaned back again. "You know I don't sleep. Don't be surprised if I pass out in class today."
"Yeah yeah," Jax sighed as he watched Eric fix his boots, "I rather you late and not pass out than dead, I guess."
"Awwwww, ya do care, Jaxie!" Eric said sarcastically, fake grinning. "I knew you did, deep down!"
Jackson let out a slight laugh and leaned back slightly, "Think what you want Eric dear. I wouldn't want any of my classmates dead."
Eric leaned forward a bit. "Of course, darling. But how different would your life be without me?" He asked, with a shit eating grin.
"No one would be here to annoy me, love," Jax leaned forward as well a grin blatantly on his face, "So I would say very much."
"Exactly. And I'd have no one to argue with in hell." He said, smirking. "Worst torture for me, sweetheart."
"I'm sure you would find someone, babe," Jackson responded, "You tend to argue with everyone."
"Ain't the same, angel." He said, winking jokingly.
"I'm sure it isn'tâĤ" Jax had to pause in thought as a frown slipped on, "Dang it, I can't think of anything."
