Eric laughed. "You might have the better grades, but I'm better at sarcastic pet names, beautiful." He smirked, leaning back again.
Hey, wanna gay one on one?
"Sure you are, handsome," Jackson had figured that one out once Eric had said beautiful, "And may I ask how you haven't been held back yet?"
"Hey, I'm not totally stupid." He said, mock hurt. "I'm more than just a pretty face!"
"I'm sure you are," Jackson gave a fake little coo, "But there are some you would argue otherwise."
"I'm hurt, Jax, truly." Eric said, giving his best kicked puppy face. "Why would someone think that?"
"I don't know," Jackson faked a sigh, "Have you heard yourself lately?"
"Wow, kick a guy while he's down, why don't ya?" He muttered, crossing his arms. "And I thought I could trust you-"
Jackson tried not to snort or laugh at how Eric had begun acting, "I'm sorry, you can trust me. I promise."
"Can I really, Jackson?" He asked, face going straight.
"You really can," Jackson responded straight faced, "Can I trust you?"
"Why should I believe you?" Eric asked, standing up dramatically.
Jackson let out a slight snort and looked up at Eric as he stood up being only slighty taller than the other boy, "Do you want me to prove myself in someone, darling?"
"I dare you." Eric said, looking up and straightening himself out slightly. It did nothing for his height.
"To what?" Jackson crossed his arms with a slight smirk on. He was interested to here what Eric was going to say.
"To prove yourself." He said, smirking back slightly. "Why should I trust you?" Come to think of it… why do I trust him?
"And how do I do that?" Jackson seemed to feel like he was repeating himself, but he also felt no point to this. He already had a weird sense of trust for Eric and felt the other boy had the same.
"…Okay so I didn't think this bit through-" Eric said, biting his lip.
Jackson gave a little laugh, "Of course you didn't. But know I trust you and therefore you should be able to trust me."
Eric smiled softly. "Fiiiiiiiiiinnnnneeeeeeeeeeee…" He said, fake rolling his eyes. Literally what did I ever do for him to trust me?
Jackson grinned back at him, "Great. Now we should probably sit back down, class is starting sooner than later."
"Damnit, I hate this class…" He mumbled, sitting down regardless. "Why did I come in early?"
"I don't know," Jackson shrugged as he sat back down half facing the front of the class, half facing Eric, "To prove something I think?"
"The hell do I have to prove?" Eric asked, resting his head on his desk.
"That you weren't always late," Jackson said with a half smile, "At least that's what you said."
Eric groaned, flipping him off and hiding his face in his arms. "I regret doing this. I regret everything. I regret existence."
"Class now, regret later," Jackson said turning to face the front fully, "So, uh, don't do anything stupid."
"If by 'stupid' you mean 'iconic', then I make no promises." He said, voice muffled by his arms. I also regret this position… my studded band is digging into my forehead… but I'm so tiered…
“By stupid I mean stupid,” Jackson clarified for Eric. He watched as other classmates had finally begun to enter a few minutes before the bell would ring.
"Screw you…" He mumbled, starting to doze off a bit.
“Uh huh,” Jackson said with a little smile. He glanced back to see Eric slowly drifting to sleep, decided not to try and keep him up.
