Jackson went back to his sandwich worried he made things awkward again.
Hey, wanna gay one on one?
Eric hummed softly.
Jackson glanced back up at Eric, "Do you, uh, sing as well?"
"Not well." He said, looking up. "Why?"
"I just keep hearing you hum," Jax rushed out, "That's all."
"O-oh. Ya noticed? Sorry, I just… can't stand quiet for too long, and there's always a song stuck in my head…" He said, fidgeting.
"Oh, I get that," Jackson nodded along, "I'm surprised I don't do it more often."
Eric smiled slightly. "Sorry if it was annoying ya."
"It wasn't," Jackson responded, "I was just curiously."
Eric nodded. "Oh."
"Yeah, uh, you're fine," Jackson started rubbing the back of his neck.
Eric smiled softly. "Thanks…" He muttered.
Jax gave him a smile back, "No problem."
Eric rested his legs on the chair next to him, smirking. "Well, angel, has there been any drama? Because I have overheard some shit."
"Oh, I've heard some, darling," Jackson responded with a slight smirk, "Though I'm curious as to what you've heard."
"Well, sweetheart," He started. "Jimmy cheatedon Maria again, and I think she's finally gonna dump the dickshit."
Jackson nodded, "I've heard similar, dear. And in my opinion, she should have done so long ago."
"I know! Really, you thought he'd change after the second time?" He asked, rolling his eyes.
"Clearly he wouldn't," Jax commented rolling his hand, "Anyway, I heard that a bunch of the football kids are getting benched at the next game after they got caught vaping. On the football bus."
"How can you be that stupid?" He asked, shaking bis head. "Ya know the movie stereotype of the football kids being dumb assholes? They aren't doing much to disprove it."
"I know," Jackson exclaimed, "Seriously. This is why I joined hockey, I'm not that stupid."
Eric nodded. "Thant's what they get, though. Half of them seem to think human decency don't apply to them 'cause they can throw a ball…"
"At least a quarter seem decent," Jackson shrugged, "At least from those I've talked to."
Eric shrugged, crossing his arms over his stomach.
Jackson looked at Eric, "So what other drama have you heard?"
"Ya know that kid that got suspended for dealing weed? He's back." Eric said. "And his eyes were bright red."
"Jesus," Jackson shook his head, "I wonder how long it'll be until he gets expelled."
"Dunno. Who knows what shit he get's into?" He asked, shrugging.
"No idea," Jackson sighed, "I ain't about that life."
"Me neither." He said, making a face.
