Eve looked at her mewling kitten in her lap. "Bean," she said decidedly. "I like the name Bean."

"Works for me." Rowan hummed softly, keeping Nollie close to himself. "We'll have to leave soon."

"Nooo," Eve moaned. "We can't abandon all this cuteness and go back to the real world!"
"Well, we're taking a couple with us, so we don't have to abandon the cuteness entirely." Rowan smiled softly.

"That's true," Eve chirped. "We have Nollie and Bean."
Rowan yawned a bit, and when the hour was up, he got to his feet with Nollie in his arms.

Eve lifted her head from his shoulder and stood up holding Bean. She was giddy as she followed Rowan.
Rowan started talking to the attendant to tell them that they were planning to adopt, and they got the adoption papers for the two of them.

Eve filled out the papers as quickly as she could.
Rowan did the same, and after a few more steps, they were given some carrying boxes to put the kittens in on their way out.

"Thank you!" Eve said happily and carried Bean in her box out to the car.
Rowan followed her out, making sure that Nollie was alright in her box. "Alright, time to head to the pet store, I guess."

"To the pet store!" Eve declared, unlocking her car.
Rowan took Nollie out of the box once he was in the car and let her chill in his lap for now.

Eve looked over with a smile. "Do you want to hold Bean too?"
"Hm? Yeah, sure." Rowan carefully took Bean out of her box and let her sit in his lap too.

Eve grinned. "She likes you!"
"Mhmm." Rowan smiled softly as he pet both kittens.

Eve plugged directions to the nearest pet store into her car and pulled back out onto the street. "It's very important that Bean likes you."
"Why's that?" Rowan asked, keeping his eyes on Bean and Nollie all the while.

"Because Bean and I are now best friends, and if my bestie doesn't like you, then I can't live with you anymore."
"Ah, I see." Rowan laughed softly. "What color collar do you think you want for her?" He asked.

"White! No, wait, blue," Eve answered. "Yes, blue for sure."
"Sounds good. I'll probably wait to see what they have…" Rowan sighed softly. "Are we close?"

Eve glanced at the GPS. "Five minutes away. Convenient."
"Cool." Rowan hummed softly and kept his focus on the kittens until they arrived.

Eve soon pulled into the parking lot. "Here we are," she declared, parking the car and unbuckling her seatbelt.
Rowan nodded and put the kittens back in their boxes. "Should we bring them in or leave them in here?"

"I'm not sure. It's a pet store, so they should allow pets inside. And they're so small we could just carry them."
"Alright…" Rowan handed Bean over to Eve and carefully held Nollie close to himself as he headed inside.
