"Used to. With a new mouth and new love could be a new beginning to heal and grow. Move on from your past and learn from it." He shrugged as he pet Marius absentmindedly. "We've all done and said horrible things. It's all life nature. It happens. It's how we move on from it and deal with it that makes a difference."
This is bigger than that… Marius sighed softly and leaned into Evan's hand. "Whatever… it's… it's really bad, though. It's not something I can so easily move on from, and… I dunno…" He buried his face in the other's chest and held tightly to him.
"Big or small I'll always be here for you and will accept you no matter what. Keep in mind Evelyn is one of my closest friends and I still love her, in a sibling way, and I'm pretty sure she accidentally killed someone? As long as theirs reasonable logic and explanation that I can understand, then we can work things out. Together. I promise okay?" He smiled gently and kissed Marius's head.
Marius sighed shakily and clung tighter to Evan. "There's not…" He whispered. "There's no fucking good reason to have done it, but I did and there's nothing I can do about it at this point… it's always gonna haunt me, Evan, I… I c-can't…"
"Yes you can Marius. I'll always be by your side." He kissed Marius suddenly. This was a deep kiss, as he held it for a long time while pulling Marius in, laying him on top of him and continuing to kiss him. Not a make out. Just a tight long kiss, while snuggling in. He seperated after a little while. "I could kiss you forever…" He said quietly.
Marius was panting lightly by the time Evan pulled away, his face very flushed. He buried his red face in the other's shoulder and curled his tail up a bit with his ears quivering and drooping. "Mm…"
"I'm sorry was that too much?" He said with a tint of worry to his voice,arms loosening as he looked down at Marius. "I really don't mean to impose. I just care for you quite deeply,I can't help myself sometimes."
"It's… it's a bit much…" Marius sighed softly. "I'm not used to this yet…" He toyed with Evan's shirt and fidgeted around a bit, seeming flustered and uneasy. "We should probably be getting going soon… I've been gone for a while, so…"
Evan gave a small pout and hugged Marius one last time. "What about your mouth? Will you still wear the mask and talk telepathically? What will you tell them?" He asked as he sat up and slid him off of his lap.
"I… I don't know. I might have to do that for a while." Marius sighed. "I don't want them suspecting anything." He got to his feet and straightened himself out a bit before heading towards the door, putting his mask on as he walked.
Evan let him walk away and then got up, and walked out a little bit after. He heard Marianna screech for him but he ignored it, instead heading outside. Crystal watched him go as she stood on the stairwell for a moment, and shook her head as she continued her descent and headed off to the kitchens to go help the cooks.
Marius followed Evan outside, wanting to be away from everyone else in the castle. He headed out to the flower garden and sat on a gorgeously crafted bench beside dozens of lilies; his favorite flower. He sighed softly as he looked up at them, his tail swaying beneath him and brushing against the grass.
Evan strayed further away from Marius, leaving him alone, and lay back down in the flower field, watching the bees and butterflies, just wanting to be away from everyone for a little while, breathing in the pollen, and then sneezing a bit. He eventually dozed off in the sun, closing his eyes and just letting the warmth overwash him.
Marius lingered in the gardens for a good long while, but he eventually headed back inside. When he headed in, he noticed Marianna and glared at her, still obviously very pissed off. He kept walking, hoping she wouldn't try and talk to him.
Evan stayed outside all day as Marianna just avoided Marius and pestered Crystal all day. It got to the point where Evan missed lunch. And then dinner. And soon enough night fell without him coming inside, or doing his studies, or even bothering to stop by and say hello to his lover.
Marius was pacing in the star tower by nighttime, worried that he hadn't seen Evan all day. Even looking at the stars couldn't calm his nerves. He eventually ran down the stairs, which was easier now that he could breathe through his mouth, and started searching for Evan. He was trying not to look too frantic, but he wasn't doing a great job of that.
Evan was still in the flowers. He had made two flower crows, and one was lopsided on his head as he stared at the moon. He was actually talking to the moon and the stars as he lay on his back. He was bitten pretty badly but bugs but he didn't care, just enjoying his time.
Marius eventually ended up running outside when he couldn't find Evan anywhere in the castle. "EVAN!" He called out loudly, feeling comfortable enough to yell now that he was away from everyone in the castle who didn't know that his mouth was fixed yet. "Where the hell are you?!"
Evan could vaguely here Marius, but didn't bother paying attention to it as the wind carried away Marius's voice. He hummed softly and stood up, heading over to the orchards and grabbed some fruit and beginning to eat them while sitting under a tree, taking both flower crowns with him.
"EVAN!" Marius called out again. He'd been running around for what felt like ages, and he was completely exhausted. He felt like his legs were going to give out, but… he needed to find Evan. He pulled his mask down so he could breathe more easily, panting hard as he continued running.
Evan saw Marius running and sighed as he stood up and casually jogged over to Marius, and put the second flower crown on his head, and pulled him into a hug. "Cmon. Let's get you a drink." He brought Marius over to one of the fountains in one of the gardens, and let him sit and rest as he continued to eat calmly. "You didn't have to come searching for me."
Marius was still panting hard and struggling to catch his breath as he drank the water, allowing Evan to just lead him along. "But… y-you've been gone all day, and… and… y-you didn't give any warning… s-so I thought something happened to you…" He huddled up against Evan's side, his vision a bit hazy.
"There is no need to worry about me. I can take care of myself Marius, but thank you." He said softly, kissing his cheek gently, and then he offered him a few orange slices. "I greatly appreciate you being so concerned. It's touching really." He sighed softly with a gentle smile on his face. "I'm going to spend all day in town tomorrow. So you're going to be alone. With Marianna."
Marius stuck an orange slice in his mouth, pouting a bit. "Well, I don't like it when you disappear like this, okay?" When Evan mentioned being gone the next day, Marius groaned softly. "God, I don't want to spend time with that bitch… now more than ever…" He sighed and stole another orange slice, seeming to like the taste of it.
He smiled. "Cmon hungry, let's go get us some more fruit to snack on." And he walked off back towards the orchard. "Anyways. I disappear like this alot. You get used to it. I'll always be close and okay. Don't worry about me so much okay baby?" He kissed his cheek softly. "And I know you hate her. But. I'm doing this so you two can learn how to hopefully coexist without my presence. I do a lot of travelling and won't always be around you both, and you can't always come with me. So. It's a lesson. Crystal will be there, all you have to do is call for her."
Marius sighed softly as he followed along beside Evan, huffing a bit at the kiss. "I wish I didn't have to coexist with her… she's a miserable excuse for a human being, much less a queen." He pulled another orange off of its vine and bit into it, clearly too used to simply teleporting food into his stomach to know how to properly eat things.
"Peel that! The skin is too bitter and tastes gross. But other fruits like grapes and apples you can just bite into." He gave a sigh as he shook his head. "And I know you don't but there's nothing we can do about." He nuzzled Marius softly. "But remember I come with her. So just. Remember that."
"Oh…" Marius examined the orange for a few seconds before managing to peel it adequately enough to eat. "I know, I know… I just wish you could come without her." He sighed. "I'm not looking forward to having to rule with her. God knows what shit she'll try to pull…" He separated an orange slice and stuck it in his mouth.
"I wouldn't either but I'll keep her on track the best that I can, my prince." Evan then handed Marius a bunch of green grapes and a bunch of red ones. "Eat those separate as they have different tastes. So therefore you can develop a pallet and some preferences." He continued to walk through the orchard, mostly enjoying his time with Marius.
Marius stuck a couple grapes in his mouth, humming softly to himself. "Yeah… at least I'll have higher authority than her, so she can't do anything without running it by me first." He sighed, wandering along at Evan's side and sticking various fruits into his mouth.
