Nikki has her head hanging over the the edge of the roof her breath shaky and her eyes closed "fuck… "
Jo takes a few steps towards Nikki and gently rubs her back.
"It's okay. . ."

"No that was not okay, Jo"
Spoke after a few seconds her voice cracking slightly
Jo smiles despite theirself.
"It's going to be okay then."

"I hate you right now… Oh my god"
Nikki hung there for a minute before puking yet again only this time finally plopped down on the roof and curled up in a little ball, sniffling a little bit
"You always hate me, dear, that's nothing new." Jo sighs, sitting down and pulling Nikki into his lap.

"Yeah- but- never mind."
Jo chuckles, absentmindedly fiddling with Nikki's hair.

She made herself comfortable with her head laying on his lap and her eyes closing slightly
"So. . . if you're wondering, I do still have a raging hangover. And no, I won't puke again."

"I figured as much… " she said softly
"Which part, sweetheart? The hangover, or the puking? Because there's a distinct difference." Jo murmurs playfully.

'The hangover.. "
"Then yeah, I suppose you did figure as much." Jo chuckles.
"I suppose we're staying here for another night, by the way."

"I did actually… And no I want to go home I don't want to stay on this stupid ass roof. "
"Well, we can't exactly get down safely."

"" but it's only the morning… "
"Um, no. It's the afternoon, sweetheart."
ac_unit
"What? There's no way. " she whined
"Look at the shadows; they're falling in the wrong direction for it to be morning." Jo states gently.

" oh my god i just want to go home jo…." she said whimpering as she buried her face in his chest
"I know, Nikki. But for now, we have to stay here. I don't want you getting hurt," Jo says quietly.

"she whined a bit more before going quiet for a moment or so it seems she'd fallen asleep
Jo looks down at the ball of human in his lap, their face unguarded and soft for once as they gaze protectively down at Nikki.
"I love you, Nicole. . ." they say softly, testing out the words.

Nikki didn't say anything of course but she seemed to have a pleasant reaction to it, she smiled softly and nuzzled into jo with her arms wrapped around her stomach
Jo jumps slightly, surprised.
He realizes that this tiny lady on his lap, in her sleep, had reacted favorably to those words, and their eyes widen.

Nikki stayed like that for a few minutes before her smile faded and she was just sleeping

Jo smiles softly as they look down at Nikki, brushing a strand of hair from her face, then kissing her on the cheek.
They shift slowly, getting their arms beneath Nikki, and stand, picking her up.
They walk to the edge and gauge the distance: two stories. He could land that.
Slowly, to avoid disturbing Nikki, they jump, and land, catlike, then start heading home.

Nikki smiled a little when he kissed her and made herself comfortable when he stood up with her in his arms she barley even twitched when jo jumped off the roof she kept her same posture only her arms where now around jo

Jo reaches the house in 15 minutes, unlocking the door and steeping inside, closing the door behind them.
They walk into Nikki's room and try and set her down.
