Jo snickers.

"Indeed, it is, but it's all true." they say, finishing off the rest of the bottle.

"Pop open the bourbon, would ya?"

Jo chuckles.

"Fair enough, fair enough."

They laugh, tilting their head back, their hair still managing to look absolutely fabulous as it falls back.

"Pass it over, dear, I can't let you have all the fun there."

Jo chuckles.

"We have another bottle of this to go, you know. Buckle up, buttercup, we're in for a hell of a ride tonight."

They take a long draft of the bourbon and shudder, but smile.

"Literal dogwater."

"Oh, dear lord, you must really hate us both." Jo says jokingly, taking the bottle back and finishing it off, grabbing the second and popping it open.

At this point, Jo's eyes are bright, and his face is starting to turn a little red.

Jo chuckles.

"Take it easy there, sweetheart. Wouldn't want you falling off the roof." they grin, taking the bottle and taking a long drink from it, emptying it about halfway.

Jo laughs.

"Good. That would be very messy to clean up, and I'd be heartbroken. I might actually try and destroy civilization over it if it happened." they reply, finishing off the bottle.

Jo looks at Nikki full on now.

"You don't believe I have a heart, dear. I doubt you believe I'm capable of loving someone. But I promise you, I am still human, despite the ammount of deaths I caused."

"And money, don't forget money. But yeah, I love sex." Jo sighs.

"But I fell in love about a year ago. You had just started yelling at me for something or another - I can't even remember what I did, but it pissed you off. And as I listened, bored out of my mind, I realized: you looked beautiful. I mean, I already knew it, but it finally hit me that you were gorgeous. I started paying attention to you more, started thinking of ways to try and get your attention - like trying to kill the pig that bought you, though that was more through anger than anything." they explain, turning their eyes to the moon and the night sky above them, pulling out the shot of vodka and popping it open, shotgunning it.

Jo keeps looking at the moon, nodding slightly.

"You trust me with your life, huh. That's strange. I remember you telling me when we first met that you'd never trust me. Funny, how things change, isn't it?" they murmur.

They finally look at Nikki again, and sigh.

"Look, you don't have to be in love with me. At this point, I'm not sure you want to be; if I was you, I'd already have run off at the first mention of any of this. So I guess that might mean something."

Jo smiles weakly.

"Well, if that's the case, maybe I could at least be allowed to do this. . ." they murmur, leaning forward and kissing Nikki.

Jo hides their surprise, choosing to deepen the kiss a little, parting Nikki's lips with his, one hand wrapping around her back to scoot her closer to him.

Jo smiles slightly, not cockily but happily, as Nikki slides close to him and puts her arms around him, teasingly sliding his tongue into her mouth, deepening the kiss more.

Jo chuckles softly at the moan, raising an eyebrow as Nikki pulls back.

But when she kisses him again, he leans back in, proceeding from where they'd left off.

Jo makes a soft noise, down in his chest, as Nikki slides onto his lap, kissing him in the exact same manner he had just done.

He wrests back control with a short, simple nip at Nikki's lips, at the same time sliding them both forward so that Nikki was underneath him and he was on top of her, still kissing her.

An exploratory hand finds its way to Nikki's waist, then her upper thigh, as the kiss gains intensity.

Jo wasn't sure how far he was allowed to take this. Probably not much further. But he'd take what he could get.
