Mikki looked around at the restaurant and the decor. String lights fashioned above the tables, pictures of all sorts on the falls and fake plants in the corner of the room. It was quite busy.
I will leave the light on ((one-on-one//closed))
Quill looked around, smiling a little bit and leading Mikki to an empty table. "Nice place."
Mikki nodded his agreement, taking a seat, “Yeah, it is pretty nice.”
A waiter came soon, and Quill ordered for himself with a small nod, waiting for Mikki.
Mikki did the same. Though he did notice there was something… off, about the waiter though he didn't say anything.
((I heard you got a new look!))
Quill tilted his head at Mikki once the waiter had gone, sensing he was a little uneasy. "Everything okay?" He asked.
(Yeah fam, lol)
Mikki’s eyes shot to Quill’s and he put on a smile, “Hm? Yeah of course.”
((fancy))
Quill pressed his lips together for a couple seconds. Then, "Are you sure?"
(Thanks)
Mikki chewed his low lip, "Th-This is gonna sound crazy but… did the waiter seem… off to you?"
Quill pursed his lips, taking Mikki seriously. "Not necessarily. I'm not…really that good at humans. Why?"
Mikki bit his lip harder before sighing, "I dunno… he just seemed on edge, like really on edge."
"Oh." Quill stared off into space for a second, then glancing to the same waiter, who was leaning against the counter on the other side of the restaurant. "I have no idea."
Mikki sighed, "It's probably just me be paranoid."
"No, I trust you more than myself when it comes to reading people," Quill reassured him with a small smile. "You're probably right, but I don't know what about."
"I honestly don't know what about either, he just gave me a weird vibe." He felt a shiver go down his spin.
"Oh. Okay." Quill nodded, resting his chin on his fist. "Tell me if you get it again when he comes back, okay?"
Mikki nodded, sighing softly, “I will, I promise.”
"Good," Quill responded, fiddling with his fingers for something to do while they waited.
Mikki leaned forwards a little, head tilting to the side, “You right? You seem nervous?”
"Yeah, I'm fine," Quill said, placing his palms flat on the table instead. "I usually have something to do with my hands, is all."
Mikki nodded, placing one hand on top of Quill's, "Okay then," He smiled, "Th-Thanks for… for this, I really enjoy hanging out with you."
Quill nodded, smiling. "You're welcome. Trust me, I like hanging out with you, too."
Mikki grinned and blushed, “If you didn’t I would have been a little confused as to why you decided to go in a date with me.”
"Yeah, that's fair," Quill said, tilting his head a little with the same small smile.
Then, there was a loud crash, bang and scream from the kitchen, the waiter from earlier running into the back room.
Quill's head snapped up, his eyes narrowing and his hold on Mikki's hand tightening slightly. "What was that?"
"I-" Mikki couldn't even get his words out before another scream came from the kitchen and the male's eyes widened.
Quill got up, pulling Mikki to his feet and quickly wrapping an arm around him protectively. "What the fuck."
It seemed other couples and friends seemed to be doing the same, Mikki hiding under Quill’s arm, “Wh-What do you thinks happening?”
"I don't know," He mumbled quietly, pulling Mikki closer to him and pulling a small pocketknife from his jacket pocket. "I want to find out."
