Rai felt the competitive, stubborn urge to show off, but she wasn't ready to start jumping across buildings that easily. She didn't have nearly enough practice.
Rai bent her knees and ran across the roof, leaping to the next. Only, her long-jump wasn't long enough. Her hands reached for the edge of the roof and caught it. Rai's body dangled over and fear took over, nearly preventing her from climbing back up. I can do this… Her body shook intensely as she swung a leg over.
