He groaned, and played a number card. "I don't have a better suggestion, plus the agreement was that you would pick."

@MusicElle-is-here

She giggled and took the cards, playing a three this time. "Are you starting to get the hang of the game then?" she asked.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Sort of." He replied a bit grumpily as he played a four.

@MusicElle-is-here

"I told you that you would!" she responded with a smile. She played another three and glanced at Logan to see if he would notice the sandwich.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan frowned slightly, and hesitantly slapped it. "Is that right?" He asked, raising his eyebrows at her.

@MusicElle-is-here

She nodded. "Yep! That was a sandwich." She was glad that Logan had slapped it instead of just playing a card over it obliviously.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan took the deck carefully, and played another card. Just a normal card.

@MusicElle-is-here

Allie played another number card on top of it. "Isn't it fun? It's fun once you know what you're doing."

@ElderGod-Icefire

He shrugged slightly. "Yeah, that's true." He replied.

@MusicElle-is-here

Allie grinned. "See?" She blew a curl out of her face. Her hair was being annoying.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan sighed. "Yeah, i guess." He replied slowly.

@MusicElle-is-here

Allie heard a loud crash not too far from the house. Her eyes widened as she looked back at Logan. "What was that?" she asked, a bit nervous.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan stood up, grabbing his pistol. "I don't know. I'll check." He replied, walking to the door and opening it carefully.

Allie got her gun and followed him. Despite her anxiety, she hated being treated as a damsel in distress. “What is it?”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He frowned slightly, going outside. "I'm not sure." He replied slowly, looking around cautiously.

@MusicElle-is-here

Her heartbeat quickened. “Do you think it could be aliens?” she whispered, trying to act tougher than she felt.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I… don't know." He admitted, looking around carefully.

@MusicElle-is-here

Allie looked around slowly, creeping out behind Logan and going towards where she thought she had heard the noise. A flash of something gray caught her eye. “Did you see that?” she muttered, glancing at Logan.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan followed towards the sound. He shook his head. "No. I didn't." He replied slowly.

@MusicElle-is-here

“I think I saw something,” she said, moving toward it. She heard a twig crack. “Someone’s here.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

He frowned, and got in front of her. "Stay behind me." He told her, heading towards the sound.

@MusicElle-is-here

Allie frowned. “Logan I can take of myself,” she said, holding up her own pistol and following him.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan sighed. "I know." He replied, and kepy moving. Kept looking to see what was there.

@MusicElle-is-here

A shot rang out. “Don’t come any closer,” remarked a familiar voice. A girl’s voice. Allie froze and glanced at Logan.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan stopped, narrowing his eyes. "Who's there?" He called, keeping his pistol up and ready.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Allie knows who I am,” she said, stepping out of the shadows dramatically to reveal a tall, pretty girl with a stylish bob and tortoiseshell glasses. Definitely not what one would expect. The girl studied them, her dark eyes glittering.

“She sounds familiar but I don’t know this girl,” she whispered to Logan, her eyes not leaving the other girl.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Logan nodded at Allie's work, not lowering his gun. "Oh? And who would that be?" He challenged.

@MusicElle-is-here

The girl scoffed. “Irene,” she snapped. “I don’t know what you’re doing with Allie, but if you know what’s good for you, you’ll leave now.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I don't know what you mean. And why would I leave?" Logan challenged, still not lowering his gun as he looked at this girl.

@MusicElle-is-here

“Because if you don’t, I’ll shoot you,” Irene said simply.

Allie stared at her, still not comprehending who this person was.
