"Aw, what a cutie," Anhael cooed, smiling warmly as she rubbed Sobex's tummy. Seven whined, nosing Sobex's leg

Sobex squeaked softly when Seven nosed him and he turned his head to look at the machine. He yipped at Seven.

Seven whined and nuzzled him, wanting to be in on the attention. Anhael just chuckled, moving a hand to pet the machine as well

Sobex turned back up to Anhael, whining softly. He wrapped his little nubs around her one hand, whining for attention.

Anhael grinned, and she reached over to rub Sobex's tummy with both hands. Murdock chuckled, placating Seven by rubbing him behind the ear, causing him to topple over

Gij jumped at the loud clang, exhaling softly through his laughter. Sobex started to squeak and purr, waving his nubs around happily.

Murdock rubbed Seven's squishy tummy, grinning as he watched him wiggle. The drake was still squirming and wiggling, disgruntled by the loud noises

Gij looked over at the drake, smiling. “What’s the drake doing, Murdock?”

"The drakes are sensitive to noise, and lots of new or unfamiliar ones at once can affect them adversely if they're loud. That little guy's got a strange malfunction in his AI that makes him really sensitive to sound, but he doesn't like his AI tampered with, so I leave it alone," Murdock explained

Gij blinked and looked at Murdock again. “So we’re just gonna leave him like that?”

"Well, I could get him something to muffle the noise…" Murdock said, getting up to look for some earmuffs. Once he found them he placed them over the drake's wiggling head, and it finally stopped squirming

Gij watched the machine with concern, which immediately loosened up.
“Oh! Problem solved.”

"Yep. Little goofball is back to normal," Murdock chuckled, scooping the drake up before plopping him on top of Seven so they could play

Gij smiled down at the machines, then back up at Murdock and the woman.
“So…. sorry about the noise.”

"It's okay. I just didn't know Murdock was letting someone say here. You're welcome to stay as long as you like," Angel said with a warm smile

Gij smiled back, though he wondered idly what right this lady had to tell him. It was Murdock’s place, after all.
