Murdock had woken up early, wanting to make breakfast so that Gij had something to eat when he got up. He was just finishing up omelets now, and was humming faintly to the songs played by a clip-on radio on his ear

Gij was dozing on the couch with Sobex curled up with the drake at his feet. Gij woke up slowly when he smelled food, raising his head off of the pillow.
“Mmm…”

Murdock's peace was interrupted by one of his larger robots. This one seemed to resemble a large hound or wolf, and was heavily armored compared to the drake. It gave a soft gruff before padding in, its head easily coming up to Murdock's neck

Gij gasped softly when the thing appeared, blinking a couple times. “What in the world is that?” He asked himself.

Murdock smiled, patting the creature's head before it woofed softly at him. It then began to walk towards Gij and the drake

Gij watched it saunter over, blinking. “Wh-hello?” He asked, sticking out a hand for it.

The dog barked softly at him, looking suspicious as it sat down, making it easily as tall as Gij. It leaned forward, sniffing at Gij's hand

Gij looked up at it, blinking as his head moved against the couch. “Er… hello.”

The dog stared at Gij's hand for a moment before licking it. Deciding it was done with him, it hopped up on the bed to sniff at the drake

Gij smiled a bit, then set his hand down. “Okay, then. Have fun with that.”

The drake cooed and tittered before wiggling a little from where it was curled around Sobex. It booped the dog, which barked softly in response

Sobex made a soft, fretful noise as the bark startled him from his sleepy state. He rose his head, yapping sleepily.

The dog machine recoiled when Sobex began yapping. It gruffed to the drake, which responded with a few soft coos. The drake then rested its head on Sobex's, trying to show him he was safe

Sobex silenced immediately when his head got sat upon, thumping his tail happily. He gave a couple disgruntled dragon noises nevertheless, as if complaining about being woken up.

The drake just tittered softly, telling him he was fine. The dog gruffed before turning away, now occuppied with sniffing Gij again

Sobex didn’t stop his grunt-like complains, even after the drake’s reassurance. Gij glanced up from his pillow, yawning slightly.
“Hello, again,” He greeted softly.

The large dog stared at him for a moment, its four small eyes seemingly questioning why he was here. Though it was distracted by Murdock walking in. "Food's ready-oh, you're awake," he chuckled

Gij looked up at Murdock with the dog, so now there were six eyes on him.
“Yeah, this guy woke me up.”

"Oh, him? That's Alpha 7, he likes to wander around the house. Can't seem to deactivate him," Murdock chuckled before patting the dog-machine's head

Gij laughed softly, looking back at Alpha. “He doesn't seem to like me.”

"He's not supposed to like anyone. Seven was one of the last ones I made, but his AI got corrupted by a run-in with one of my unfinished Titan models. But the corruption seemed to alter his AI in an okay way, and he's attatched to that drake at the hip," Murdock chuckled

“Oh?” Gij asked softly, looking up. “Well that’s lucky of you. Is there no way to fix him?” Or am I just being naive?

"Not without completely rebooting him, no. I'd have to do a lot of stuff that just isn't worth the time and effort. Besides, he's just fine. He's just got a little more personality than the others," Murdock said before patting Seven

Gij looked at the dog, smiling a bit. “Well, that’s always good. He does seem to be full of life.” He reached out with a hand again.

Seven just huffed annoyedly, not moving to get away from Gij. Murdock chuckled, rubbing the dog's soft cabling behind its ear. As soon as he did so his back leg began thumping before he fell over onto his side on the floor

Gij jumped slightly on the bed when the clang rang through the room. “Goodness! He’s loud, isn’t he?”

Murdock laughed and nodded, still scratching the dog behind the ear, causing one of its back legs to flail happily

Gij smiled as he watched the dog, watching the dog happily. “He’s cute.”
Sobex squeaked down at Alpha, his tail wiggling under his paws.
