The teacher shook his head. "Enough. This was a group project. The four of you should have worked this out between yourselves. You will all get the same grade for the project," He explained.
"Just becuase we're soulmates, doesn't mean I like you" (O/O) (Closed)
Lotus took a deep breath and nodded slightly. They had gotten their brething under control and were now wiping at their tears with the sleeves of their jacket. This was worse than middle school. Much worse. Still it didn't sit right with them that April and Jeff would get credit for a project they contributed nothing to.
Cat nodded. "Sorry sir," She said. April and Jeff nodded aswell. Cat didnt even look at Lotus as she whent to sit down. The rest of the class was slowly showing up.
Lotus sat down in their seat in the back of the class still wiping their eyes and shaky after what just happened. This was why they didn't want a soulmate. All it leads to are a broken heart and broken trust. Lot had evened worked themselves up the night before that maybe they could let Cat in, but clearly they needed to shut her further out.
Cat had a small smile as she listened to the teacher talk. the class officially started and she worked hard not to look over at Lotus.
Lot had no trouble not looking to Cat as they were too focused on calming themselves the fuck down. They had pulled out a peice of paper and had started writing down all the video game titles they enjoyed playing. After writng down Pokemon they began to list all the Pokemon in order starting from Bulbasaur.
Cat doodled on her notebook. If she didnt do that then she'd end up either looking at Lotus or drawing on herself. She didnt want to do either.
Lot let out a final breath as they wrote down the last Pokemon. They felt much better after that and were able to look up and pay attention to the teacher.
Cat took some notes but she mainly just ignored the teacher. Focusing on her drawing. She unintentionally started drawing eyes. Lotus’ eyes.
Lot glanced over at Cat before snapping their attention back to the teacher. They still couldn't believe that Cat had sided against them even though the other side was based solely on lies.
Cat broke and looked over at Lotus after the other girl already turned away. She quickly brought her head back down and kept her eyes on her paper for the rest of class.
The bell finally rang and Lotus stood up quickly before heading to their next class. They wanted to minimize their chances of bumping into Cat. After school they would talk to the English teacher about everything becuase it wasn't fair. They had been scrutinized and put down at that could be put down as a form of either harrassment or bullying.
Cat walked to her next class but then once there excused herself to the bathroom and sat in the library. “Sorry” she wrote on her hand but then quickly crossed it out.
Lot felt the tingle and looked down just to see the sorry being ceossed off. They took a pen and wrote just beneath it without allowing it to show, "it's too late for sorry"
Cat didn't respond. She just had herself near the back of the library and sketched in her sketchbook.
Lot went through the class without thinking much about Cat. Occasionally they glanced down at their arm to check for a response.
Midway through third period she finally wrote something. ”they know.”
Lot looked down and felt their heart sink. The only thing they could muster, "please stop writing to me"
"Just stop"
”Don't make them mad” was the last thing she wrote. She was closed her eyes after that. Listening to some song she had playing through her headphones.
Lot looked down at the last message I knew that already. They said nothing back and went back to focusing on their math class waiting for the bell to ring.
Cat listened to her music skipping the rest of her classes for the day. She went to lunch but tried her best to ignore Lotus.
Lot went to their usual spot in the back of the lunch room further determined to eat quickly and then head to the lab. If anything to stay away from Cat.
Cat got her food. She glanced at Lotus bust she looked right through her. She knew they should talk at one point they didn't have to but they should.
Lot spotted Cat glancing over and focused heavily on their food. They were eating as quickly as they could so they could get to the lab.
Cat sat at an almost empty table and ate her food. She had to force herself not to look at Lotus.
Lot finished quickly and stood up to jead to the computer lab. Maybe they could work on their game or something. Just get them somewhere no one would be able to see them.
Cat saw Lotus leave out of the corner of her eye. She got up a few minutes later and went to the computer lab.
Lotus had sat down at their usual computer, USB hooked up and everything. They saw Cat enter and let out a long mental sigh. They were not talking to the other not after this morning.
Cat walked over and sat down at the computer next to her. She didn't say anything since she wasn't really sure what to say.
Lot stayed silent and continued to work. The clacking of the keyboard the only sound through out the lab.
