Raz wiped away tears and pressed a kiss to Jay’s head “you’re going to be okay,” he whispered.
Kinda want a demon and human ship so...help?
"I hope so." He mumbled, giving his hand a weak squeeze.
“Are you Okay now or are you still…seeing things.” He asked, curling up next to him, never releasing his hand as he moved
"Well, you tell me, is there actually a small crown of butterflies on your head?" Yep, he was still hallucinating.
Raz chuckled softly and shook his head "no, sadly there isn't." he scooted up so that Jay's head was resting on his chest. "want me to read again or are you still loopy?"
"Nooo, please keep reading, it'll make me feel better." He whined softly.
Raz laughed softly and nodded "okay, okay, I'll read." Raz looked around the room for the book and stood to get it where it rested on the window sill. He settled back next to Jay and opened the book
"Lumi gaped at him 'i-I don't.' She looked away from him, suddenly feeling stupid. what if he did deserve it?
Caspian saw that she was worried and frowned softly 'I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable, I'm not trying to scare you.' he reached over and rested his hand on top of hers 'i'm not dangerous or anything, i wouldn't hurt the one who literally saved my life.'"
"I could say that about you." He mumbled. "You saved my life." He snuggled into his side, already feeling better.
“And in return you saved mine.” He dropped a kiss to Jay’s head.
“Lumi glanced down at their hands and blushed ‘thank you…’ she whispered, not sure how else to respond. She shook herself slightly and brought his gaze up to meet Caspian’s ‘You’re wrong,’ He said with a charming grin, leaning back on the seat. ‘Bout what?’ she said with a small laugh ‘About not being an Angel.’”
He smiled a little, the blue tinge already starting to fade from his skin. Just being with the one he loved made him feel better.
“Lumi laughed softly ‘but I’m not. I just chose to help you when you needed it.’ She argued gently, captivated by the butterfly in front of her.
’And is that something a lovely angel would do? It’s the small as well as the large things you do that make you an Angel.’”
"That's totally true. You're definitely my angel." He kissed his cheek softly, smiling a little as he focused on the pages once more.
He leaned into the kiss with a smile “i’m no angel my love.”
“lumi broke the gaze with a light laugh and shook her head “one main difference between me and an angel, they can fly. I can’t.’ Her smile faded slightly but she looked away before he could see the sadness in her eyes. Caspian thought for a moment ‘you just haven't found you’re own pair of wings yet.’ He reasoned with a smile as he set the empty bowl aside.”
"You're definitely an angel, shush." He held him tighter, getting better the more he had him back by his side.
“Thought I was the butterfly?” He teased, nudging Jay’s shoulder affectionately
“After Lumi had washed the bowl and finished her adjusting Caspian’s wing she headed towards the door and nodded to the outside ‘Want to join me outside?’”
"And I thought I told you to shush." He nuzzled into his neck with a soft smile.
"Does that mean you want me to stop reading my king?" he asked softly, gazing at Jay with a smile. "we could always relax in awkward silence."
"Noo, keep going, I love hearing your voice." He pouted, holding him closer.
"okay," he pressed a light kiss to Jay's pout and continued reading.
"Caspian stood and nodded 'I'd love to.' Lumi gazed up at him, realizing he was much taller than her. She led him out the door to a small patch of grass and shorter flowers. She parted some leaved before them and watched as the navy blue sky illuminated with thousands of fireflies. She sat back with a smile and watched as the living lights floated and danced around them."
He smiled softly, sighing in content.
"'It's beautiful,' Caspian breathed, his dark eyes shining with the light of the fireflies.
Lumi nodded in agreement and watched the danced, mesmerized. 'it's the closest thing I get to flying.' she said, flinching and offering an apologetic smile 'sorry, that was sad.'"
"You're beautiful." He was still a bit loopy from the sedative but a drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts.
“And you’re adorable.” He murmured with a smile.
“’it’s not sad, it’s inspiring.’ He smiled over at her and rested his hand on hers. Lumi blushed and looked away ‘so, Uhm, tell me more about yourself.’””
He just smiled, kissing his cheek. Every time he wanted to nod off again, the reminder of what just happened popped into his head and he stiffened.
Raz glanced over and stroked his hair “You don’t want to sleep, do you my love?” He asked softly, having felt him stiffen
He shook his head, hugging him like a terrified child hugging their stuffed animal. "I don't wanna deal with it again…"
“I know,” he said softly, resting his head on top of Jay’s “but you need it. You need sleep.” He kissed his head and sighed heavily, not wanting Jay to have another night terror but also not wanting him to deprive himself of sleep
"But if I have another, they'll put me in the psych ward which means I can't see you. You're the only thing that makes me feel better…"
“Love, I’m not going anywhere. And you’re not going to the psych ward.” He nuzzled his head and pressed kisses to his head “you’re going to be ok.”
"But I heard them say it." He whimpered. "I heard them say that they'd send me there if I had another. And I don't want you to leave."
