Sterling laughed a little and shook his head. “Well, I won’t be too far, so you’re not really separated from me. You just can’t touch me.”

"Yeah but still." She put the black case back in the locker and shut it, flipping her hair over her shoulder.
(cricket cricket cricket)
(the crickets are growing stronger)
(I don't care if it makes me annoying, I will keep poking this until I get a damn answer because I never use Cassie and this story is too adorable to quit on!)
(Death to this is unacceptable)
(Guess who's still here?? Me and my annoying ass!)
"Yeah but still." She put the black case back in the locker and shut it, flipping her hair over her shoulder.
Sterling huffed another laugh, shaking his head. “C’mon, Cass. It’s not a fair bet if you plan on breaking it.”
"Who said it had to be fair? We never agreed on any other rules." She laughed, crossing her arms over her chest.
“If you’re not fair with the bet, then I will not be fair later, in bed,” Sterling stated with a quirked brow. “And I will make sure you understand what I mean when I say that.”
"Ooo, enticing." A quick knock on the door made her jump. In popped the head of a familiar female. "Taylor!" "Hey Cass. Roxie told me you were back here so I figured I'd come say hi really quickly." Taylor chuckled as she squeezed her friend in a quick hug before heading back out. "Right, right, showtime." Cass checked her face in the mirror one more time before heading for the door when she paused, looking back at Sterling. "You should head out to the main floor. Just make sure no one sees you leave here or they'll get jealous." She giggled before heading into the first.
Sterling chuckled lowly. He let his eyes drag over her once more before taking a step back.
“Have fun with your show, love,” he purred before slipping out.
Cassie stood backstage, tapping her foot somewhat impatiently. She wanted to get out there, show everyone what she could do. Well, most of them already knew but you know what I mean. Finally, she heard it. "Next up is a girl you hate to love, a devil sent from heaven, your post life fantasies coming true. Please say hello to Angel!" She stepped out and was greeted with a huge burst of applause. To say Angel was popular was an understatement. People loved her. And that was going to be her advantage tonight. How could Sterling resist her if no one else could?
Sterling found a seat close to the stage and sat down. He leaned back, hands clasped in his lap as he looked up at the stage.
This was definitely going to be an interesting night…
She stepped out to face the audience, I confident smile radiating off her face. "Evening gentlemen, I suppose you all are here to see a show?" Her voice was like honey, slow and soft and the audience was falling hard for it. Like usual. But they answered her question with another burst of cheering. She giggled. "Alright, alright, fine. But only since you asked so nicely." The music started and her show began.
Sterling watched as Cassandra walked on stage. She had a swagger to her that showed her confidence, her pride in her character. Suffice it to say, he was intrigued. Very much so.
She had learned to deal with people staring at her long ago but tonight, she could still feel a pair of eyes burning into her. And she knew exactly who it was. It didn't take long for her eyes to lock on Sterling. Her mouth twitched up into a smirk for a millisecond before she pulled her eyes away to scan the rest of the crowd. If they noticed her staring at just one person in particular, they'd get jealous. She had a pretty big fanbase, if you asked her. Her show was very much innocently sensual. She was less about looking and acting like a slut than simply putting the idea that she could be into people's minds and watching it drive them crazy imagining what they'd do to her if they could get her alone in a room.
Sky blue eyes met those of storm gray. The smirk on Cass’ face only caused Sterling to chuckle, though he had to admit that he was letting his mind rub a bit wild.
While they’d already slept together, he knew she hadn’t shown him everything she had, not had he shown her everything he could do. Tonight, though, he would be showing her more. That is, of course, if their bet ended soon enough for it to happen.
The longer the song went on, the more people crowded closer, pressed against the stage, trying to see more of her. She simply giggled under her breath and kept going like they weren't even there. The song eventually ended and she took her bows. However, she was met with a burst of disappointment. "Hmm? What's that now? You want more?" She glanced over at Roxie, who was standing nearby. Sometimes Roxie let her pull two acts, sometimes she didn't. Today, she smiled and nodded and Cassie turned back to the crowd. "Alright, fine. But just for a few minutes." Oh, she wasn't done messing with him yet and she was about to turn up the heat.
The more Sterling watched, the more he found himself wishing they hadn’t placed that bet. If he could just go backstage later to press her against the wall, he would be happy. But he refused to lose. He would let her make the first move against him.
"Hmm…maybe I can do a little something for you all. But I'll need a volunteer." The floor quickly became a battlefield, everyone was fighting for her to see them and only them. "Boys, boys!" The crowd quieted. "There's no need to fight. I'll pick myself." She slipped down off the stage and weaved through the crowd, scanning each person's face as she passed, making sure she took her time. Eventually, fate led her past Sterling and she kept going for a second before she paused and backed up to look at him. "Hmm, I think I'll go with you." Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she suppressed laughter at the groans of disappointment from around them. "Why don't you follow me?"
Sterling quirked an eyebrow at her, a smile tugging at his lips. He stood and followed her, curious about what she was planning.
“What’re you doing, Cass?” he mumbled under his breath with a chuckle.
"What I want to. My show, my rules." She whispered before hopping up on stage and motioning him to come up with her. "Now that I have my volunteer, I'd like to try something. A little test, if you will."
“And what is this test?” Sterling asked, smirking as he looked down at her from his place beside her. “Do your rules overrule the contest?”
She put a silent finger to her lips, a smirk pulling her lips up for a second. "My test is one of patience and how quickly it runs down." She saw Roxie shake her head out of the corner of her eye. This was a game she played every once in a while, watching her fans patience run thin until they nearly snapped from her relentless teasing and then send them back to their seats.
“What kind of test?” Sterling asked again, letting his gaze roam over her body as if he’d never been this close to her before.
"You're new here, aren't you?" She teased with a giggle. "Does anyone want to tell him what the test is?" The crowd immediately burst into sound. "Boys!" Once again, they quieted. "One at a time, please." She pointed to one guy at the front. "Why don't you explain?" He smiled brightly. "Basically, she's about to tease you til you snap and then send you back to deal with the sexual frustration."
Sterling’s eyebrows shot up at the man’s words. When they fell again, he narrowed his eyes and turned to glare at Cassandra.
“Oh, you have no idea what you’re about to start, do you?” he murmured lowly, a chuckle slipping past his smirk. She was going to get it tonight…
"Better question, do you?" She smirked, her eyes bright with sadistic glee. "Now then, why delay the festivities any longer? What do you say boys, should I start the torture?" The crowd cheered and she shrugged. "Guess that means yes."
“Do your worst, sweetheart,” Sterling laughed, the sound rumbling in his chest. He trailed his eyes over her face and then her form again, taking her in almost teasingly.
