Moxiey's eyes widened, but she returned the hug with a realization. I'm falling in love with a human. She buried her face into his neck, somewhat affectionately.
"Promise me you won't go looking for me or anything if i'm not back tomorrow. Also promise me you won't jump at the first signs of humans, it might not be me."
"I promise," she murmured. And she meant it.
He squeezed her tightly once more before he pulled away and went back to the rock, giving her one more half smile before he left.
Moxiey watched him leave. She sadly dove back into the sea, longing only to be with him again.

It was three days later and Grayson finally found time to go and visit Moxiey. He went as quickly as he could to the beach and dove into the water.
Moxiey jumped as someone startled the water a couple yards away from her. She started to swim away, then noticed Grayson's features. She grinned and swam over to him quickly, enveloping him in a huge hug. "You're back!" she exclaimed into his neck. Her hair drifted around his face.
Grayson laughed and hugged her back, spinning her around and burying his face in her hair. "I missed you so much."
"I missed you more!" she retorted playfully, in typical Moxiey fashion. "Where have you been?"
"School, homework. Alto making me stay home and help out with things."
"Well, you're here now," she said softly.
"With you. I'm glad." He replied affectionately.
"What now? What shall we do?" she asked, lifting her head a little.
"Whatever you want." He met her gaze with a little smile.
She thought for a moment. "We could-! Oh, nevermind. Or-! Nope. Maybe-! Hmm… un-uh." She looked at him. "I wish that you could visit my world," she said wistfully.
"I wish I could too.." He said sadly, gazing down at her.
She thought again. "Wait! There's an air room in the palace! If I could get you there somehow, you could breathe and see everything!"
"And how would I do that? I have no diving equipment or anything."
"I could make you a temporary bubble," she suggested.
"You can do that? You guys are so much cooler than humans."
Moxiey didn't want to argue, instead, she grabbed his wrist and smiled. "Trust me, okay?"
"Course." He grinned back.
She dove under the water and pulled him with her. Once they were both sufficiently under, she pooled a bunch of water in her hands and formed it into a hollow "shell". She went up to the surface quickly and filled it with air. Quickly, she secured it around his head. "Can you hear me?" she asked.
"Holy shit! This is so cool!" He exclaimed, laughing.
Moxiey grinned and grabbed his wrist. She pulled him down until the faint glow came from just ahead. The castle, with merpeople swimming in and out of its turrets, towered mightily. "Welcome to my home," she gestured shyly.
Grayson was stunned speechless as he stared down at the castle. He looked over at Moxiey in awe.
"We should get to the air room, the bubble won't be able to last much longer. Come on!" she exclaimed, pulling him towards the palace.
Alto let himself get pulled along by Moxiey, sort of hiding behind her.

Moxiey hurried through the corridors. She reached the entrance to the air room just as the bubble popped.

Grayson entered the room and breathed in deeply.
