Pax’s gaze deepened with worry. “I don’t know what he’s going through preciesly. He’s been very preserved to himself.”

"He could be jealous of Neo inheriting his magic." She suggested.

“M’s not one to be jealous. He knew Neo would inherit his magic.” Pax smiled warmly.

"Oh, then maybe he's just..lonely maybe.."

Pax shrugged. “He has us, you know.”

"Yeah I guess you have a point." She smiled.

Pax beamed and ate a chip. “He’s been really tired and distant… I’m afraid he’s going to get sick.”

“Should I be at all concerned as to why you look so happy right now?”

“No, why would you be?” Pax tilted his head.

“Well I don’t know you are taking about how M might get sick but you look really happy.”

North laughed a little and glanced outside where it was still pouring rain. “You think he’s okay?”

Pax followed her gaze. “I’m sure he’s fine.”

North sighed and leaned back in her chair. “If you’re sure then..”

Pax nodded. “It’s when he comes back in that we need to be concerned.”

“And now we wait..”

Pax nodded. “He’ll probably take a bit though.”

“So you’re just gonna sit here and wait? Chip?” He offered the bag.

“Yeah I am. And no thanks, not hungry.”

"Nooo." She shielded her face from him.

“Yesssssss!” He threw them at her.

North laughed and bat them away. "Why are you doing this to me?!"
