"Don't take it away." She said, looking up at M. "It doesn't like you."

M glanced down at her. “I’m sure it does. What’s it gonna do if it doesn’t? Kill me?”

"Yes." North replied bluntly, laughing a minute later. "It'll poison you."

“Oh, well, good luck.” He chuckled down at the little thing, booping its snoot. It khhhhhhhed at him,

"You'll need it." She giggled, standing up and looking up at him. The lizard khhhhhhhed again and jumped down from M's hand.

M watched as it literally fell to its death. “Well. It ended up crippling itself, huh?”

"It hated you so much.." North said, shaking her head and looking down at the ground.

“It hated everyone, North,” M wistfully said, before turning to his husband.

“Sounds like Neo..” North coughed quietly, walking slowly towards the forest. She glanced back at M, still smiling.

M snickered softly as he helped Pax out of the water, drying him off. “Indeed, North. Hey, where’re you going?”

“Mm I don’t know. Is there somewhere I should go?” She asked, turning back towards him.

“Nowhere. You should stay with us. We’re gonna make food.”

“Yeah..I guess.” She shrugged, walking back towards M. “Do you know what time it is?”

M squinted up at the sky. “Hmmm… noon?” He looked back down at her and Pax, who was growling as he wrung out his hair.

North nodded, glancing over at Pax. "Why so mad?" She asked, smiling a little.

Pax bobbed after her, fluffing out his hair some more. M rolled his eyes at his husband, rubbing his face and slouching after her.

North went inside and glanced around, realizing how quiet it was inside. She stood there for a second before sighing and going into the kitchen.
